El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Norfolk

This pleasant little hole-in-the-wall has delicious food at a very affordable price. Expect to leave feeling full and satisfied for under $5 per person. At the time I am writing this, it is the best Mexican joint in town by far. In fact it is so good, I'm baffled that any of the other places can even stay in business... though perhaps that is because El Rodeo is literally hidden behind a laundry mat.

Other Mexican eateries have better atmosphere and are more like typical sit-down restaurants, while El Rodeo is just 1 small brightly-lit room with a few tables and chairs strewn about. It feels more like an order to-go type of place, which is what most patrons seem to do. Aside from the lack of seating, this is one of Norfolk, Nebraska's hidden gems for Mexican food. It's also one of the few places, if not only places, to get Gyros from in Norfolk. Their specialities include burritos (steak, chicken, or even tongue - it's pretty good, so don't knock it until you try it), chicken soup, and steak tacos. Their signature hot sauce has flavor, but beware: it will linger with you an entire day if you can't handle it. You can call and order ahead for pick up. Plenty of parking, but hidden from the world with it being behind the laundromat. Serving sizes and costs: You get way more for your money! The best place in town. Portions are generous, but not so big that they cheap out of the quality of the food. The quality of the food is great. The staff is all ways pleasant even when busy. I never have to wait more than 20minutes for your food when calling in. Their hours are awesome too, need a late dinner they are open, need an early lunch they are open. This is the only restaurant in town who has never once let me down. I here 2-3 times a week, and have for the past 8 years. I will keep doing so. The owners did not take advantage of the viral inflation, they care about their customers and it shows. this is the place I bring everyone who visits me in Norfolk, no one has ever left less than impressed.
