Leon Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Norfolk

Walked in around 11:am to place a quick order for just a steak burrito and I asked them what comes on there steak burrito and after they told me....I said I want everything but no rice in it and she said ok....I noticed another couple sitting down to eat and I saw the chips salsa they were eating and I asked for some to go...10 minutes later I get my order...and I mentioned no rice and she said no rice and when I went to pay for my order...I noticed a charge for the chips and salsa and I asked her why I was being charged for it and she says because it was a to go order and that's when I asked if they charge for chips if you dine in and she said no...and I told her I should not be charged for them just because I have an order to go....so I got it removed from my bill...so I get home and start eating my Burrito and the first bite was just rice...when I asked for no rice...then I opened the burrito and the whole burrito was full of rice and a little bit of steak and basically nothing else...for an order so simple and for only having one other customer in there....I don't know how you can mess up and order so bad unless you really don't care about your customers...especially when Norfolk is full of great Mexican restaurants....but no problem....I will spend my greenbacks...

the meat in the tacos I ordered was rather meh, for a lack of better descriptor.

The wait staff was attentive, and informative, and checked in at appropriate times, and helped with the menu. 10/10 would employee.

While I appreciate hand painted art and decor, done in the manner of this establishment, to me, it makes me feel... Like I don't understand what's more important to the store, culture, or cultural appropriation...

Again, that's my opinion of the atmosphere, not the actual art created,...

Super amazing 😍. Very authentic. Truly seems to be made with true to the recipe ingredients. Great salsa with a bit of a kick. Amazing prices. Nice staff. Clean bathroom with changing table. Even smelled clean at the end of the day. Great fried ice cream. Quick service. Like the tardis is bigger on the inside. Public parking lot...
