This was our first time here and the shake was too thick it was literally icecream in a cup. The funnel fries were overly fried and hard to eat. The âonion stripsâ were small onion string toppings you would put on a burger and cold. The sandwiches donât come with the option of lettuce or tomato and were subpar. You can only get refills on the large fountain drinks which we just found peculiar. It was cold and they had a small heater on the floor set up. Really tried hard to find one thing we liked about this place but didnât have much luck. The door was locked when walking up and the gal had to check the sign on the door to see if they were supposed to open. Service was okay, just seemed like highschool kids who donât know exactly what to do. Tried to figure out who the boss is, the boy said Andrea. So if youâre reading this, no harm done, just worked in the restaurant business all of my life and know you would like to know if things are less than satisfactory when youâre leaders are...
Read moreFor a small business, itâs okay. You canât expect over-the-top or anything fancy. The chicken they have here is amazing; from the chicken sandwich to the chicken stripsâŚ. so delicious. I have yet to try the famous Tastees but the cheeseburger I had today was a littleâŚmeh. It definitely had the âcame in frozenâ taste. Like I said, okay for a small eatery. I was charged 20 cents when I asked for extra pickles which seems a little extreme⌠Especially when I only had 3 pickles on the whole burger. I donât want to complain about the 20 cents but come on⌠what does âextraâ mean? One more pickle thrown in? Whatever, the fries were good and that was the peak of my meal. I had the cookie dough arctic blast and was a little disappointed. The ice cream to cookie dough ratio was a bit wonky. Pretty sure I only had a small teaspoonâs worth of cookie dough in the whole glass. Overall, decent place. Iâd go back over and over again for the chicken...
Read moreI was excited to try this place, as it was a favorite of my husband's childhood. The ice cream was good. However, I was appalled at the customer service. They were out of the ice cream I ordered, but offered an alternative. When I asked if I could have a small sample of the alternate (as it was a flavor I was unsure of), it was met with a terse "no". Fine. I ordered something else. Later in our visit, my husband purchased a souvenir coffee mug for $20 and while he was purchasing it, asked for a refill of his beverage (which he had purchased earlier). "No, we don't do refills." "Ok. Can I have some water in the cup then?" "We'd have to charge you" was the response. We literally have already purchased a beverage, PLUS an overpriced mug, and you can't offer some tap water? The manager had serious attitude and was not in customer service mood, that was clear. Although this place was a favorite of my husband's, it left a sour taste...
