The food are amazing, the servers are amazing, everything was just amazing! This place is huge and beautiful, the chairs are comfortable, the bar area has some tvs playing sports, there are some outdoor seats, there was a man playing an instrument on the side, the whole atmosphere is very good and it's not too loud.
We had the She Crab Soup, Calamari, Chesapeake Bay Drunken Crab and CheeseDip with Fried Naan Bread, Fried Green Tomato, Chesapeake Bay Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and Key Lime Pie with Key Lime Mousse, and I had the blueberry margarita.
The She Crab Soup is my favorite dish overall. It's so creamy, rich and flavorful. It would be even better with some bread or crackers.
The Calamari is nothing special, the sauce could be more flavored.
The Chesapeake Bay Drunken Crab and CheeseDip with Fried Naan Bread is my second favorite dish. I didn't know the name of the dish before I did this review but I can tell it has some alcohol in this rich flavor of crab and cheese dip. The naan bread is soft and taste good with this dip. I would recommend it to be a bit more salty however.
I'm not a fan of the Fried Green Tomato because it has feta cheese since I don't eat feta cheese. If I ignore the feta cheese part it is a good appetizer. There are some sweet sauce with diced tomato on top of the fried green tomatos so it's very appetizing. I think I'll order it without the feta cheese when I'm by myself.
The Chesapeake Bay Jumbo Lump Crab Cake is my third favorite dish. The crab cakes are straight crab meat, not like some restaurants who put flours and vegetables to make them bigger so they can fet more profit. Since it's an appetizer, they are one-bite size. It comes with a sweet sauce but I'd prefer just lemon so it won't cover the flavor of the crab meat(I think it depends on personal preference).
The Wild Mushroom Ravioli is the best Ravioli I've ever had for a while. The pasta is tender but not chewy, the mushroom is soooo flavorful, the only thing is the sauce is kind of blend. After addjng some salt it tasted good.
The Key Lime Pie with Key Lime Mousse is very refreshing. The shredded baked coconut is a good paired with this dessert. The decoration and way to present is also pretty.
The Blackverry Margarita is strong but it's lacking a bit of sweetness.
The staff member are very friendly and helpful. The lady who served us is the most friendly and funny server I've ever met. The other young man who served my drinks...
Read moreWe had an early Mother's Day dinner reservation at 4:30 for 6 adults and 2 children. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, there was one other table with about 8 people. I asked if they had a kids menu and he brought me the menu. It had the usual options, grilled cheese, hamburger, Mac and cheese and fish and chips. He came back and proceeded to verbally tell us what was available for the kids, which was slightly different than the printed menu. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the bangin shrimp for an appetizer and a bottle of wine. The appetizers took a long time to come out. The brussel sprouts were ok, a bit too charred for my liking, and the shrimp was ok, nothing special. The server brought the bottle of wine and just placed it on the table without opening it - granted it was a screw off top, but usually they will open it and allow you to taste it first. We decided to order for the kids, and we asked for grilled cheese for my granddaughter, and he said we're out of grilled cheese, odd but we ordered Mac and cheese for her and chicken tenders for my grandson. My daughter wanted to order the filet and was told they were sold out, then she tried to order their chicken dish, but was told they were sold out of that too. When the kids meals came out, he brought a grilled cheese for my granddaughter even though we ordered Mac and cheese and was told they were sold out of the grilled cheese. My husband ordered the fish and chips and it didn't come out until after everyone was finished eating. I definitely would not go back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I blame management for all of the mishaps. How are you sold out of at least 2 of the entree options at 4:30 on Mother's Day especially since we had a reservation so they were aware of our party size. Our server clearly hadn't received the...
Read moreIn all my life I have never experienced this. During lunchtime, with customers eating, they start vacuuming and not just there was a mess need to clean it up but full out vacuuming the dining room. Literally, vacuuming next to tables with people in them. Worst service. Took forever to get our food. We were there hours, literally. I asked for lemon water and the waitress said she would bring the lemon separately but if course never bothered to come back with the lemon until I asked again much later. The place was not busy, only a few tables with people, so no clue why such poor service. And never experienced this either but there was a waitress or hostess who kept coming to our table to tell jokes. Now mind you being friendly and one joke would have been fine but this was over the top like she was practicing her stand up routine. And she came to the table more than once like we were all best friends. My party liked the taste of the food except for me. I should have sent it back but really didn't want to wait for another item to be fixed. I shared with others. The waitress didn't say anything about the fact I didn't eat my food, like most waitresses would like how is everything? Separate tickets and she put items in wrong...
