This place was amazingly delicious. My fam and I lived in Thailand for several years and after being away for only a month I found myself searching for a decent Thai restaurant. I've tried a few here and there in Norman and they were okay. There is one or two that I'd still like to try such as Thai Thai and Lotus Leaf. But after stopping by Chada to look at their selection I knew I didn't have to look further than Chada Thai to meet my expectations. The menu items spell out exactly what to expect. I ordered the Kao soi gai (chicken version the noodle curry) dish which was one my all time ultimate favorite northern Thai dishes I've eaten it a million times at various restaurants throughout Chiang Mai. This is not an easy dish to make nor find in any other Thai restaurants, and best of all it's a huge serving to keep one filled for a day. So I thought, if this dish passes my freshly removed Thai palate test, then it should be a no brainer that the anything else off the menu will one day suffice mine or anybody else's Thai food cravings. I ordered it and I must say, I was incredibly impressed; with the buttery smoothness and slight spiciness (per request) of the curry, the noodles were similar to that of egg-noodle ramen, the chicken pieces were plentiful, the pickled radish and shallots were there on the side, well as the crispy fried noodle on top. I would've slurped down the rest of the delectable treat, but I had got caught up trying samples of my families' other dishes as well: the eggplant chicken, pineapple fried rice, and the Tom Kha Gai. All were equally amazing, too. For the value and taste and setting, this restaurant deserves a 5 out of 5. The service was fast and...
Read moreIn the past, Chada was my go-to Thai place because it is just a few minutes from my job but it was so disappointing today that I am not sure I want to go back. I ordered my normal Pad Thai but the recipe must have changed, because it was very sweet and there was no spice to it at all. I was speaking with a coworker about my disappointment and she mentioned hers was the same and she was unhappy as well. I got the lunch special so it was about $9, and I tipped an additional $3 so all in, I ended up throwing away $12 in the trash can today, literally.
I will say, the service is always quick, friendly, and the portion size is great. I have no problem paying $12 for what I was expecting to get. Just overall really said they didn't at least mention a change in recipe...
Read moreI’ve ate plenty of Thailand food. These place is by far the BEST one I’ve had. I ordered seafood and beef pad thai and i give it a 100/10, yes it was that good. It was light, flavorful and generous. We order fried calamari as well and it was unimaginable, it was crispy and delicious. We tasted this drink, I don’t remember the name of it but it was lemonade mixed with this purple mixture and it was so refreshing. I truly recommend this place to everyone who wants to try Thailand food. Not only the food is amazing, the atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely amazing and make you feel you’re visiting Thailand. The service was splendid as well, everyone was so generous, social and smiley.
This is an honest review and I really want everyone to go and try. You...
