Il Dolce Gelato — Restaurant in Norman

Certainly a delayed review since I first came here 2 months ago, but this place is fantastic! I don't think I'd ever had gelato before, and given that I live right across the street from the building strip that this shop is in, I'd been wanting to come here for a while, and finally did! It having been my first time here, I decided to go all out and get the largest size, which can consist of 4 different flavors; I remember 2 of them being either blackberry or raspberry and a chocolate flavor of some sort. While I can't remember what all I had, I do remember that I loved all 4 flavors! Since I can just walk here due to how close I live, I should make it a thing to come here at least once or twice a month. Such an amazing and inviting place on the west side of town! Lots of choices and they're constantly changing flavors. They really need to update the FB or something more often with which flavors are available. Been waiting/asking months for the chocolate habanero. The chocolate scuro and sea salt caramel are tasty, and the portions are bigger than they look. 3 of us got the grande and none of us could finish. It was enough for 2 desserts. The atmosphere is calm with the dim lighting and comfy seating. Sign up for rewards with them for discounts and points. Downside of their program is it doesn't matter if you buy 1 or 10 or their size, you get the same amount of points and you can only get them once in a 24hr period, so they can't ring them up as separate orders. Weird point system that doesn't really reward...

I always forgot how smooth Gelato is, and each time I have it, it is always pleasant surprise. We only recently learned about this place and were very happy with all the options we got.

There is an option to get a mixture of multiple types, so we each ordered that, and we each got unique flavors. Honestly, there was not a single one of the 8 that we didn't like. It was a unique experience to try each one, then randomly combine the flavors to create new ones.

Really hope this place sticks around because the more ice cream / yogurt / gelato options that exist, the better (especially if they are good!).
