Today was the second time while in Norman OK from Ca that I had the same issue. This time with the manager. I asked to be seated in a more quiet area as it was so noisy and very stressful of an environment. I noticed both times 2 back areas that were empty after waiting one time 27 mins and this time 21 mins. I was told each time they needed time to get my table ready in the back.. Seeing no one in those areas. I thought it strange and waited. AFTER each time of waiting I was again seated in the area I asked NOT to be seated. I sat down and the lady heard how upset I was and said it was the manger who told her to seat us there and that she had no idea . SO she got the manager and she then seated in the back room where I had waited to be seated . She was rude and seemed to be very stressed out. I thanked the waiter for taking our table and expressed how we were traveling and meeting up with family and that that area was so busy and noisy that there was no way we would enjoy even eating ..but less talking to each other before getting back on the road. SO, within mins we ordered. We were not in a hurry at all since we were resting and visiting. The waiters each time have been very nice .. after ordering within mins.. the lady manager started seating people all next to us in a room of 12 tables she sat each party as close to us as possible. ...meanwhile we looked into the next room the room she tried to seat us and it was pretty much emptier with the 15mins. My family saw her face with a smile and smirk and said she did that on purpose. I responded I thought so it seemed near impossible that with all the tables in this room all 5 others said next to us. ANYHOW, we were so upset to eat. I nearly walked out. I drank ice tea and DID NOT eat my dinner . WE were all upset due to me being so stressed out . WE WILL NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN. DO to that environment. I express my dissatisfaction to the waiter and told him that it was not his fault.. That I saw what the manager did. He mentioned he had nothing to do with the seating and apologized. We left pretty fast and he was nice enough to give us to go boxes and drink cups. We are so disappointed on how this lady manager today treated us. 8/9/2018. That we all have no intentions of meeting our family there when we are passing though again. We will look for a better place where we are treated much better. We after all are the ones paying up to or over $100... we would at least like to enjoy our time out and not be so stressed out that we HATE eating out any more. WHICH is something we may just give up because of this . The only reason we ever met there in the first place is because our son said they have green Chile , The kinds we are use to in CA and NM. We are sincerely disappointed as a larger family . Server and food was fine over all. EVEN though have of us were upset and did not each our food and took it in a box. We all did comment that the amount of food seems to be less. we noticed the rice on each plate did not even have enough rice to cover the plate in the area it was in... it was very thin.. we all agreed the food was less in portion sizes. That was also disappointing.. since the ones we ate their food were still hungry afterwards. We all remarked how we use to not be able to eat all the food. I gave a one star.. because I was not allowed to give a ZERO. CAN BEANS were YUCKY too my daughter said. SAVE YOUR MONEY and make dinner at home is what we will...
Read moreI had a terrible experience on March 8. I came in with my boyfriend and our other friend. I normally love Chuys. I’ve worked for their company for 6 years and they’re such a fun group to work for! As I had never been to this chuys I was very excited to try it out. We came in at around 8:30 and we’re going to have a drink each and a quick meal. Upon being seated it took a good few minutes to be greeted. Our server finally came over and my boyfriend asked for a coconut mojito and she immediately told him “no I’m not fighting my bartender about that rn what else can I get you” so he got a bottled beer instead. When she finally got to me I asked for a grande original swirl and again she said no and offered me a grapefruit swirl instead and I told her no I don’t like grapefruit and she kept pushing saying that’s what everyone says and I stayed firm and wanted the original. When I looked over at the bar the bartender (Gabe ) was emptying their margarita machine an hour and a half early and made my drink in two plastic cups and then poured them into my glass .As a bartender you should never be mixing guests drinks in plastic cups unless it’s togo. When I got my drink it was regular and didn’t look right. Feeling already uncomfortable by this we decided to tab out and my boyfriend felt the manager needed to be called and that’s very unlike him. The manager came over and I explained that I had worked at some of the busiest Chuys in Texas and that this Chuys was missing the mark. One of Chuys biggest sayings is to go above and beyond for the guest and that every guest is a VIP. That’s far from the service we received. Managers name I believe was Andrea. She seemed to only be listening but not caring but she apologized and said she would talk to her staff. She did nothing else for us. We paid online and Meka our server gave us attitude and dirty looks as we left. Safe to say we will not be back...
Read moreI'm not one to post reviews but after the past two times I've attempted to eat here I feel like it's necessary to point out. So about maybe a month ago I came here to eat at maybe 3:00pm ish which I know service is typically slow which I understand but we walk in and stand at the front to get a table and no one shows up. I think we gave it like 5 minutes and left because the wait staff just looked at us and kept doing their thing. Okay so we're like it's a one off and we attempt to go there again over the weekend. The hostess seated us but no one ever showed up after we were seated, like I understand you get your chips and drink and wait for the server to come by but nope, just us sitting there with our menus and utensil packs only. I timed it and it was 17 minutes and then we decided to leave. Yes you might wonder why we were that dumb to wait that long but we were really just seeing how far it would go at that point plus we were visiting anyway. I waved at a waitress to get her to swing by and nope she was in her own world and like no response. Other wait staff like never looked in our direction and followed their section walk paths like we were in the phantom zone or something. I understand wait staff are overworked and underpaid right now but it'll probably be a long, long time before I try...
