😍 😎 🍻
O'Connell's used to be on the south end of the stadium near the endzone and field goal posts by the fence. It was over on Lincoln Avenue down the street from the 🦆 pond. My grandfather used to pick lavender from the duck pond for my grandmother so she could put it in her bath. They had a house on 🐘 st. (What was the name of the street?) which I lived in when I went to OU. My Uncle Tom actually owned a house across the street from the old O'Connells 🍀 (and still does) and rents it out to students. I rented a house on 🫐 Road that my uncle also owned and I lived there with tweeter when he was a pledge. We could hit ⛳ balls in the backyard at that house. There was even a 🏖️ and an old 🌊 shed way out back.....

The new O'Connell's location caddy corner to Louie's is really nice. They do a classic lunch and bar menu and I was able to take the twins for their first drink when they turned 21 for an Irish coffee at brunch time.....
.
They were lending a hand on the pot farm in Norman the first season. It was a kind of crazy first grow, I was living in the mountains and was just back for a visit between seasons. Their family was also helping out and giving guidance since they had expertise in the field. They had a pretty awesome dog names Stella!! too..
(I got another twins story I can tell you about in the Mountians of Brazil but I'll save that...
Read moreStopped in at 12:30 this morning ordered a pbr and a shot of jameson. Went to tab out got the bill for $17 i looked at the recipt. I was charged $8 for a smithwick. I said i didnt order a smithwick was told we dont have a button for pbr and its game day so all the bars have to up charge. I then ordered wings and fries. They gave me my order and that was not rite. I told them the order was not rite because i did not order fried pickles. They sat there and said that is what you ordered and I sat there and went back over our entire conversation and was told oh yes thats rite you did order wings but as of now our kitchen just closed and we cannot remake your order and make it correct so we are just going to cancel the transaction for your food. so I wound up walking up the street to another bar called the deli in ordered a PBR in there AND THAT SAME BEER AT THE DELI THAT I PAID EIGHT DOLLARS FOR AT OCONNELLS WAS $3.50 i’m guessing the reason why O’Connell has never that busy late at night. Once of the concerts are over at CAMPUS CORNER. The place is almost empty. Every other bar you have to wait in line to get in or even get to the bar. These bars will have signs up that say two dollar shots two dollar beers where O’Connell says there and says we have to charge on everything and rape people on price just because...
Read moreFriday march 22 around 10 pm I came into O'Connell's to pick up some food. Bartender was EXTREMELY rude, nearly hit me with a ladder from the kitchen as I patiently waited on the order. Instead of politely asking me to move she snapped "You're, like, in the way dude" and blamed me for her lack of basic spatial awareness.
Then, 20 minutes later somebody brought out food and when I asked if it was mine she snapped at me again, "Uh, I don't don't know, dude, give me a little bit. Can you, like, move?" in a condescending manner.
FINALLY she brought my order out, took it to the OPPOSITE side of the bar, didn't even motion to me or anything, and IGNORED me for other customers while I read over the ticket in attempt to figure out if it was even mine.
The bar wasn't busy, I was waiting for nearly 30 minutes and the bartender treated me like this??? I'm a very polite person and walked into this establishment in a good mood only to leave annoyed. Apparently O'Connell's management is okay with staff treating customers horribly for no...
