I picked up my order yesterday, mind you spending about $110.00 and approx. $10.00 as a tip, I was very disappointed. The guy at the cash register was very nice, but niceness doesn’t “feed the bulldog”. My disappointment started in calling in the order for pickup, I was told they didn’t have beef and broccoli, then I ordered the ped pad catfish and was also told they did not have catfish, but they had tilapia. So I asked is it deep fried and I was told “yes”.these things should have been red flags and should of hung up the phone and ordered Thai food standby place. We brought it home and upon opening the container with the catfish, it was not breaded and shriveled up, dry, and bland. The dishes were spicy, but very bland at the same time. The vegetables in the dishes tasted like maybe they were on the verge of being thrown out. I ordered two orders of spring rolls and received only two small dipping sauces along with concluding that the spring rolls were terrible. I ‘m not a person that makes it a habit to write reviews, but spending $120.00 is a lot of money for...
Read moreFor the prices of the food here, you would expect quality over quantity. But the restaurant lacked in both. The food was abysmal. We ordered panang, pad Thai, and the meat salad (Larb). The panang was overpowered by the coconut juice and was too thick for my tasting. The pad Thai, a simple and signature dish for every restaurant was much too greasy and lacked the authentic taste. The Larb in particular was bland and tasted like they boiled the meat and threw it on top of the salad. It was so distasteful we couldn’t even box it to go. The only credit it deserves is the presentation. The food came out looking great! We expected the service to overcompensate the quality of the food but we were wrong again. With only 2-3 tables within the restaurant, our appetizers took over 20 minutes to come. The waitress was nice but was inattentive. The restaurant looked nice inside and outside but with the prices and the quality of the food, we most likely will not...
Read moreThere are not a lot of great Thai restaurants around Norman and this place was a great find when we first moved to Norman a few years ago. The ambience in this restaurant is really good with dim and cozy lighting and beautiful artwork on the walls next to the booths. I rated it 4 stars, not for the taste but for the price vs food portion size. Initially a few years ago, the portions used to be huge, if you ordered curry, you used to get a big bowl full of curry. But as years passed, the quantity kept getting smaller but the price didn't go down. Hahaha! We still make regular visits to this restaurant but I started to feel that the price for the food doesn't do justice to the portion sizes. I personally like the yellow curry, it is hands down the best yellow curry I have tasted so far. I hope they bring back the portion sizes that they used to have...
