My family are loyal customers since they open the first store across the street, food at Los Primos is always good and authentic. the new location is very nice. I’m giving a 3 start because of the service. In the Last 4 visits the service have been awful, servers forget stuff, I said no onions for my kids they put onions anyway 🫣They don’t check on tables we had to get up few times to get napkins, forks, the check took forever. Maybe they are giving to many tables and they can’t keep up with service. We had Ximena last 2 times when she brings the check she stays in front of you till you pay her, like what is the rush? She does this everytime. Than we notice they add the tip even on parties of 2-3 in the back of menu clearly says tip will be included after 5 people. We ask the server why ? And he couldn’t explain and apologize for adding the tip. The old service was much better I still see 2-3 servers from last location and they are good.

I was playing pool at the great Markley's around the corner, and wanted to stop on the way home for something to eat. I remembered someone mentioning a good Mexican restaurant around the corner in the strip mall. I walked by, and only saw a crowded market inside, but I went in. The restaurant is in the back, through a maze of Mexican groceries and goods of all sorts. After perusing the menu, I decided to try the chorizo burrito, and the mango juice drink. As I waited for the burrito, I sipped the mango juice. It was delightful. Served from a large jug into my cup over ice. Delicious. When my burrito came, I took it out to my car for the ride home, but started to eat it right away. It was perfect. Many ingredients, but all in beautiful and appropriate proportions. Flavorful chorizo, lettuce, avacado, roasted poblanos, beans, cheese...I know I am probably missing some things... All wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla. Awesome. If I may call it a sandwich, it was maybe the best I have ever had. And, constructed and wrapped so that I barely needed a napkin. The first half was plenty for me before the ride home, and a couple hours later the other half was not as perfect but still delicious. I can't...

Mexican Grocery store/Restaurant/Bakery.

An fulfilling dive of what it feels like when entering another culture. Blown away by every aspect of the restaurant/grocery store despite the place being run down. However, this only adds to the experience!

Grew up eating tacos my entire life, but never anything quite like this. From the pictures you see, I am a huge taco person, so it was inevitable that every visit I always order tacos!

It was succulent, delicious, and stunning! A selection of tacos I always gravitate toward are the Al Pastor, Pork Skins, Tongue, and Fried Pork! There are times it can be dry, but limes can save the day! Squeeze generously!

The service is on standard to what I expect with other places. Ask and receive, so don't be afraid to ask when a problem arises!

And the atmosphere is loud when busy, but peaceful when empty. The setting is also run-down, but it only adds to everything. There may be bias because of how good the food is, but visit when you get a chance! You will not regret it!

I had a visit from my good friend George Hofmann today.. what a delightful time we had just hanging out and shooting the breeze. George is such a genuinely nice person. It was a very long minute since we had time like this. It was so good for my soul; thanks for taking time to see me today. We went to lunch at El Primo Produce; it’s a store and a restaurant. We each had the tacos which came with a consume that was as good as the tacos. I ordered some guacamole too since it’s a fave. For dessert I had a slice of flan. It was nice and creamy and needed more caramel sauce. This was a 5 Star Meal and only 4 minutes from Tara’s. In the words of the infamous terminator; I’ll be back! A really fine day for me and how about you? LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE. 💙😎💙 #remissionwillbeachieved #CancerFree2024 #REMISSIONISTHEGOAL #EyeOnTheFuture #LiveLoveLaughAlways #cancerwarrior #cancersurvivor

Update 2025: new location is nicer and newer. Food seasoning change a bit to a lighter side but still very nice. Grocery section is bigger with more selections! Old place review in 2023: To be fair it’s a little challenging coming here for the first time by yourself. But all you have to do is to walk through the grocery at the front to get to their restaurant in the back. Mexican food here is close - if not the same as Southern Californian - very tasty and the portions are generous! Friendly and very accommodating service. Prepare cash. The food is so good I can be happy with just bean & rice. But why stop there while you have such good options. Their open salad & salsa bar are great, you can serve yourself for dine-in or add some for your pickup order. Come back out to collect more treats - if your belly still have space 😝 Highly recommend to check it out!
