Parked in the lot across the street to visit an antique shop and decided to give this place a try before we made the drive home, and am so glad we did. The staff was very friendly and the pizza was EXCELLENT (Chicken bacon Ranch and the Buffalo Chicken). I'm not usually a big fan of thin crust but Christo's may have converted me. The toppings were generous and the flavors very balanced. Some buffalo chicken dishes hit you in the face with an overabundance of the buffalo sauce, but if anything Christo's could probably add a tad more to their pizza. There are several small tables, all of which were very clean and constantly being wiped down by the young lady who took our order and the one restroom I visited was also nice and tidy.
My only "complaint" is: You order at the counter and pay up front, and I expected to be retrieving my own pizza and plates/utensils when food was ready (like most pizza joints) so I didn't leave a tip. I was pleasantly surprised to see they deliver your food to the table, you eat on REAL plates, and they clean up after you. They also stop by a couple of times to check on you during the meal. Because I had already paid, it didn't occur to me until I was about halfway through my hour-long drive home that I most certainly should have tipped that young lady. I'll be calling them to make good on that, but just wanted everyone else to know what to expect if you intend to dine in - the service is far above what you normally get for a tiny pizza place with a half dozen tables in the front.

Read moreThis place was recommended by an employee at Mass Moca. Everyone knows pizza is basically a scam - you pay close to $20 for maybe a few dollars of ingredients. But a good crust - crispy and chewy, a bit charred from a brick oven - can make all the difference. Unfortunately, Christo's failed at this. We ate here on a weekday, early evening, after visiting Mass Moca. My daughter and I were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered the Athenian pizza - olives, Feta cheese and fresh tomatoes. After 25 minutes, I asked when our order might be ready. There were a lot of pizzas being made in the kitchen, but clearly not for us. The cook said ours would be ready very soon. Very soon turned out to be another 10-12 minutes. When we finally began to eat, the pizza was extremely salty (yes, Feta and olives are salty, and I like salty food, but this was ridiculous). But the worst part was the crust. As I wrote above, a good crust can save mediocre toppings. Nowadays you can buy Italian 00 pizza flour in any supermarket, and watch a YouTube video on how to bake a really good pizza. So there's no excuse for this crust being so awful. Tough, dry, flavorless, and at the edge there was an inner layer of very dry, floury dough, indicating it had been rolled and re-rolled multiple times. I would have given it one star, but the woman at the counter was pleasant and polite, so two. Maybe it was an off night, but if this is North Adams's best pizza, you gotta wonder about the...
Read moreI was picking up an order for Doordash and noticed the owner and the cook not wearing gloves or Facemasks properly (owner wearing under the chin, the cook had hers hanging from one ear)nevermind the lady answering phones as she had her facemask under her chin and only pulled it up when she approached the counter and the owner pulled her facemask up when she came out of the kitchen,The cook wasn't wearing gloves as she was preparing food with her bare hands even mixing wings in a bowl with her bare hands and didn't wash her hands in between prepaing food which can cause cross contamination, I also witnessed the owner(lady) take a pizza out of the oven and instead of sliding the pizza in the box off the pizza peel she used her hand to slide the pizza in the box!I was so disgusted of what I witnessed that I left and contacted Doordash to let them know I did not feel comfortable delivering the food to the customer after what I had witnessed.I can't imagine anyone eating here, this was my first time ever in this restaurant and certainly glad I have never eaten anything from this restaurant and glad I know now exactly how this place is ran, UNSANITARY all the way around, I am surprised the health department has not done a surprise visit to...
