We had a bad experience at Jade tonight. We ordered the general’s chicken and the orange chicken, and were surprised to find that it was all dark meat, very hard and full of gristle. It was a bit pricey so we assumed it was white meat, our server did not ask us if we wanted white meat, and nowhere on the menu did it specify that there was a choice between the two. When our server finally came back to check on us about 15 minutes after we got our food, we asked why it was dark meat and he said that we would have had to “specify.” The manager came out and was immediately defensive and borderline rude to us, saying that we needed to ask for white meat chicken and that it says that on the menu. We confirmed that it does not say it on the menu. They offered to remake one of our meals (not both, even though we’d barely eaten either). They also said they couldn’t take it off our order.
To top it all off, the service was slow and our crab rangoon came out lukewarm. We would not recommend this...
Read moreWe tried out the Jade restaurant today since it's in her neighborhood. The food was good but customer service was really bad. I would have given 1 star, only reason 2 star is because the food was good. So here are the details about the customer service: The wait-stress had hard time understanding English. Each things we had a to say a few times. Also, there was no salt in couple of our dishes: The fried rice and Malai Hot pot soup. So, we asked the guy who was standing near the front desk. Since, we saw him helping out the table behind us who had similar problem with their waiter. But that guy got really annoyed at us for making him two trips to get us salt and chilli oil and completely ruined out evening. The main reason we dine out it get a break from cook and enjoying the experience eating out.
After this I don't think we would come back here. These seem to prejudice towards white people. It was sad to see a fellow asian...
Read moreThe Jade in North Andover is a hidden gem! My wife and I have been eating here for the past five years whenever we are craving sushi and Asian food. The food is hands-down the best sushi and Chinese food we have ever had. This is coming from a couple that normally does not eat Chinese food because often times it can be greasy and heavy. In all the years that we have frequented this restaurant we have never been disappointed with the food or Service. I know they do a lot of takeout and the bar area is pretty busy but the restaurant itself sometimes does not have a lot of patrons which puzzles my wife and I. This restaurant is tucked away right behind the North Andover Mills and I don’t think a lot of people know where it is located. I would recommend anyone looking for fresh sushi and top Notch Chinese food within The Merrimack Valley to try this restaurant out. Our server who’s name is Ding Ding is always so friendly and such a...
