Overall coming here was an excellent experience. Myself and my husband found this place by chance while staying locally. I am a particular picky eater, but have been trying to broaden my pallet. This place did not disappoint. I had the blackened salmon with asparagus, 2 things I’ve always ewe’d, but again I need to try new things and this place blew my mind that I now want to go and get this dish again. The staff was friendly and overall attentive, going on a Friday mid-afternoon was probably more ideal since business started to pick up as we were leaving. This would have been a 5 star across the board but unfortunately when we arrived we were told we could sit on the patio or if we wanted to sit inside we would have to eat fast due to a reservation. We chose to sit outside to not feel rushed. And for the most part it wasn’t that bad, the weather was decent. There was going to be live entertainment but they started as we were leaving. The biggest annoyance honestly didn’t have much to do with the restaurant but more with one of the group of guest they had on the patio. It was atleast a party of 8 adults and a handful of children. In which the parents were just hanging out drinking wine while the kids ran in between tables screaming. That’s why atmosphere got 4 stars because no one dared to say anything to the group about ensuring their kids behaved. And even after they all got up to leave they lingered cause the kids wanted to see the live entertainment all while they were screaming, crying and fighting over who’s...
Read moreGreat food and great service at reasonable prices I usually eat at the bar . Jody, Jill and Lea are great at the bar and make you feel at home. The have a variety of specialty drinks , a large selection of beers, some frozen drinks and all the popular drinks. Great girls serving great drinks with great service. When not eating at the I have been seated at the tables and the service was also great The food is superb. In addition to the normal apps they have fried pickles (my grandson loved them) steak and cheese spring rolls and Bangin Cauliflower Bites. They have the normal salads and some special sandwiches such as pulled pork, specialty burgers and my favorite, Crispy chicken wrap with fried chicken, honey mustard and bacon. Bolognese, steak frites, salmon risotto, short ribs, fish and chips, fish tacos and more selections are on the menu. There are several tvs showing the game. They offer outside dining in the proper weather. The building is part of the North Andover mill complex and they did a great job converting it into a great restaurant. What makes this place so special? Management. Amanda is the general manager. She is a non stop whirl wind. She pulls the whole thing together and does not stop to make customers happy. I did meat the owners once. You can tell their desire to make this place one of the best. Lea, Jill, Jody, Amanda should be complimented every day along with the chef, kitchen staff and the rest of the servers. For a nice casual meal this is the...
Read moreI will start by saying that the food was pretty decent and our waitress was cordial. However, we quickly noticed, being the only people of color, that we were all seated in the back room of the establishment. We were told the main dining room/bar area was full and there’d be a 40 minute wait. Friday night, so it wasn’t surprising but we were perfectly fine with the wait. There were several empty tables and were told they were reserved. We were then offered the option of an open table in the back that just needed to be cleaned so we took advantage. The waitress approached us very quickly for drink orders but we noticed she was very curt with us. Food was decent for the price but not the best. I ordered a crispy chicken wrap that was 90% lettuce with one singular chicken tender wrapped inside. Although the waitress was “attentive”, we started to notice it was more of a “hurry up and finish attitude.” After paying and leaving through the main seating area we noticed that the “reserved” tables plus several more we still open and untouched, as in no one had been seated there and they were clean. We all (party of 3 veterans) noticed that we were the only people of color in the establishment save for one other male that was also seated in the back room with us. This may have been an anomaly but based on some previous reviews I’ve read, it seems like this restaurant only wants a certain type of person in the main area but will still take your money and make you...
