The Divine Consistency Let's start with the basics. The consistency. It's a miracle, really. How can they make every single fry, every single burger, taste exactly the same, every single time? It’s not just food; it’s a form of edible art. The perfect balance of salt on those crispy, fluffy fries... I can tell if they're a fresh batch just from the smell, a fragrance that could stop traffic. And the Big Mac—don't even get me started. Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. It's not a recipe; it's a sacred text, a promise of flavor that is always fulfilled.
The Menu: A Symphony of Flavors The menu isn't just a list of items; it's a carefully curated symphony. The McFlurry, with its perfect swirl of candy and ice cream. The Chicken McNuggets, each one a crispy, golden nugget of joy, perfect for dipping in that sweet and sour sauce—a combination so good it should be illegal. And the breakfast menu! The Sausage McMuffin with Egg is the only thing that makes me a morning person. It's the promise of a perfect start to the day.
The Atmosphere: My Second Home Some people say the decor is generic, but they're missing the point. It’s comforting. The predictable plastic booths, the familiar buzz of the soda fountain, the gentle hum of the kitchen in the background... it’s all so soothing. It's a place where I can just be. The drive-thru is my personal express lane to happiness, a direct portal to a better mood. I know the staff at my local location by name. They know my order. It’s more than a transaction; it’s a connection.
A Love That Endures People will come and go, but McDonald's... McDonald's is forever. My love for it isn't creepy; it's pure, it's true, and it's unwavering. It's a perfect relationship where I know exactly what I'm going to get, and it's always going to be amazing. So yes, you could say I'm obsessed. But wouldn't you be, if you'd found your soulmate in the form of a Quarter Pounder...
Read moreThis is not my favorite location. The one at 772 Broadway in Coos Bay is MUCH more accurate in getting orders correct.
Anyway, for this location the quality of the food is pretty much on par with most McD restaurants. I just stopped trying to order hot food through the app to pick up here because EVERY time I have ordered they have gotten my order wrong.
One time I got an entirely wrong order. One time when I used the app, I went through the Drive thru to pick up my food. It was going to take "a few minutes" to be ready so they asked me to park in an online order pick up spot.
I parked there and waited, and waited, and waited. I started watching videos and got distracted. When I finally looked up I realized I'd been sitting there for 30 minutes!
I got out of my car and walked inside (which I was trying to avoid, thus using the app and drive thru since I'm disabled.)
I approached the counter and was ignored for 5 minutes until I got someone's attention. It took them a minute to figure out that I wasn't trying to order at the counter, but that I was trying to track down my online order.
Apparently it had been deleted because despite the drive thru worker confirming my name and code earlier, no one could find a record of my order or find any food sitting around.
I ended up telling them what it was and they made it for me. Relieved, I returned to my car and waited for them to bring it out. They were pretty fast, handed me my food and ran back inside before I could even check my bag. Old, cold fries. And they forgot my drink.
I decided "eff it" and drove away.
From then on I only get water and diet soda here. It's pretty hard to...
Read moreI was in drive thru, no other customers. When I pulled up to order, I was told to wait. I waited, waited, waited. Then I said " hello". I was then yelled at through the order system " I told you to wait". Still no other cars in drive thru. I waited, waited, waited. Then again I said "hello". The girl on the other end yelled at me again- "I told you three times to wait. If you are going to be impatient then pull up to the window. I reply I didn't order yet. Because there was still no cars in drive thru I backed up and went inside. When I walked in the girl was telling the manager that she had told me three times to wait. This was a lie. I talked with the manager once inside and told him (Joe) the situation. He ensured me that he would take care of it. Doubtful he will. This girl working the drive thru was Melody. She is very rude. Watching her work inside while waiting for my order she clearly does not care about her job. I am now forced to make a formal complaint about this employee. I will do so directly with the corporate office or the franchise owner directly. It's sad when one bad rude person can ruin the whole atmosphere...
