I stopped by Yeong’s Place in North Bend, Oregon — a small, casual spot known for burgers and diner-style food. I tried their Patty Melt and Giant Burger, and here’s the honest take: it’s a mixed bag. The Patty Melt ($12) looked promising, fries included, but the patty was thin and the rye bread tasted like something from a grocery store. Flavor was okay (3.75/5), but value felt low (3/5). A thicker patty and better bread would make it much more satisfying. The Giant Burger was massive. It’s filling and enjoyable, but the flavor reminded me a lot of Carl’s Jr.’s Famous Star — not bad, but not unique. Value-wise, it’s good (4.5/5) because of the portion. Atmosphere is basic and a little shabby: worn tables, a few flies, and a street/gas station view. Takeout is probably the way to go. Service was friendly, but I waited around 25 minutes despite not many customers. Bottom line: Yeong’s Place delivers quantity over wow factor. The Giant Burger fills you up, the Patty Melt disappoints, and overall, it’s a casual spot — not bad, but it doesn’t live up to any hype.

Wonderful selection of burgers/sandwiches and salads. My first time to this restaurant. I now understand why this very proud owner should and does deserve to be awarded the Annual City Recognition Award for best Restaurant. Great job, here's to next year's plack to be displayed with all the previous years! Seating is somewhat limited, a nice warm stove is burning in the seating area to keep you cozy on those cold days. Orders are placed up at the counter and then delivered to your table by the extremely courteous staff. It did take a bit of time to recieve the food, keeping that in mind, it was the weekend and they were busy, not only that, your order is made fresh. So please don't be in a hurry, our food was well worth the wait! The restroom was clean and free of odors, was glad to wash my hands before diving into my finger licking yummy burger. I have posted photos of the "Garbage Burger & Philly Steak" along with the menu. The menu is out dated in means of pricing. Actual prices are a bit higher. ENJOY 👍😋🍔

Wow! One of the best local burger shops I have ever visited. First and foremost, this burger shop has many options. From elk burgers , bison burgers, other unique burgers this place has it all! The price and service for these excellent Burgers is phenomenal. The staff is fast and friendly and extremely patient while you asked questions and/or peruse around the menu. The burger patties itself seemed homemade and not frozen Factory type patties. This place also offers unique and somewhat hard to find type of desserts. The interior seating is exactly what you would expect out of a Burger joint and that's not a bad ambience. Unfortunately there is no outdoor seating but there is plenty of interior space for social distancing and CDC covid-19 guidelines. Lastly the parking is plentiful which makes it easy to call ahead and order takeout. If you are visiting North Bend Oregon this is a place you definitely have to visit

The food and the employees here are amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about them! So my in-laws and cousins came into town tonight, so I took them to Yeong’s for dinner at 7:40, even though I knew that was probably pushing it since they close at 8. Well, it’s 8:10 and we’re still eating 😳 I had mentioned to my mother-in-law on the way there that they close at 8 and wondered if we’d have enough time, but we thought it’d be fine, but we obviously took way longer than I thought we would.. the employees started putting up chairs and cleaning the floor and turned off the music cause they were trying to hint to us that they were closed, but my father-in-law was completely oblivious to everything 😬🙈 I should’ve told him that they were closed at 8 and that we should probably leave so everyone could go home, but I hate speaking up and didn’t want anyone to feel bad, so I just sat there, wishing I could hide under the table 🙈 And they even made ice cream for the two kids after they had already cleaned up the kitchen and they also refilled our waters! When we finally got up to leave around 9, I went back to the kitchen to apologize for keeping them open so late, and the girls were sooo understanding and sweet, I couldn’t believe it!! I would’ve been so annoyed if I were in their shoes. So I just wanted to let everyone know that this place...

I have been here before and it was a good experience. It was good enough experience that I had to take my brother when he came down to visit for the weekend. There is a good selection of things to order, the portions are good and the staff is really nice. I ordered the Western burger and my brother ordered the Southwestern burger (which is what I ordered my first time). This was on a Saturday and though we beat the rush of customers that soon followed we left feeling somewhat queasy after our meal. It lasted through the rest of the night that we couldn't eat anything else. By Sunday morning my brother was hit first, showing all the typical signs of Food Poisoning. I was feeling okay until later that night when I started experiencing the same symptoms which tormented me into the next day and making a trip to the emergency room. I like to support local businesses and they do pretty well according to the many awards displayed near the register but even as I type this I feel extremely nauseous and doubt I will ever return as a customer. It was good going down but horrible coming back up. I really hope they prevent this from ever happening again and look into the cleanliness and food handling in...
