One star because it has 3.5% tax which due to urban special zone other than that this Bjs and most BJ's have the worst customer service. The cash register guys work as if they are doing a favor to their customers. Today I was ordering tires using the gift card and the gift card doesn't work when I swipe, I mentioned to Ed, can u help me here? he say " so!!! What should I do???" With a tone that you are out of luck and I can't help you no more. Man, the attitude and tone make you feel that he is doing a favor to me!!! I was polite first, once I heard the tone and attitude , I asked him to call the manager and have him help me, bunch of customer reps but not even manager has a clue , they can't get their gift card working. Eventually had to use my credit card after spending 45 minutes. Absolutely clueless service. Their own gift card does not work and believe me I have experienced this every time I use the gift card when the card reader errors out. They need to rename their gift card to pain card. Never give a gift card of bjs!!! Never !!! The clueless BJ!!! Upgrade your 1970 systems BJ and train your staff to be courteous and customer oriented.

Read moreWent on Sunday morning at 10:30 with my husband and surprisingly it was not packed which was good. Went to take out the three month membership to try out. We only purchased about 7/8 things in our cart and were in line waiting for our cart to be evaluated. When we walked up to the guy, there was obviously someone else ahead of us so we were right behind them and as we walked closer, the older man checking the carts pulled my cart as i was leaning against it which was disrespectful. I could see as he extended his arm that he was going for that so i got off the cart becuase there’s no way you’re gonna try and drag me too.(This was after he had the receipt on hand, too) Anyways, I was shocked and was about to ask my husband if he saw that when suddenly.. HE DOES IT AGAIN. Literally as we are passing by he pushes it from my side which is where you handle and push the cart. Like seriously? Have some respect. Read moreBy far the worst customer service I've ever seen at a deli counter. They had two women there today that had absolutely ZERO desire to be working. They walk at the pace of a snail, completely disregard customers as they check their iwatch, co plain about the time, walk back and forth putting on a pair of gloves for about 2 mins then disappear to the back before coming back a couple minutes later to be completely rude to me. It was like I was asking her to for a special favor or something . Her exact words to me were "what do you want", followed by "anything else", followed by "anything else". Then after slicing my two simple requests she slams my package down on the counter and says "here..." With a huge attitude. I suggest the manager re evaluate the staff at the deli because there are a few that can't do the job and should be replaced by someone who actually has the desire to work. I'm sure with this pandemic there are plenty of people that can fill their shift. I for one will never return to buy any cold cuts there from here on out.
