ENGLISH: I rarely post reviews online. However, I wanted to share my horrible experience with Dr. Ana Wilson. I sought medical advice regarding an extremely painful sports related injury. After trying normal OTC approaches unsuccessfully, I decided to go to this center, as it was near. The place was empty (probably due to COVID and the horrible way this center is operated). It seemed to be going well in the beginning when I got there. The receptionist was young but respectful. The vitals nurse was nice as well. The doctor (Ana Wilson) is the epitome of what is wrong with healthcare providers. From our brief interaction, I noted she lacks empathy for her patients. Just a bunch of eye rolling and sighs. Even better, her "amazing" medical advice involved a prescription for OTC painkillers (which I had already mentioned I had tried). Not once did she approach or examine my injury site. Needless to say, I left without taking the useless script and drove in pain to the next local urgent care facility (AFC Lyndhurst), where I was able to find someone more useful and who actually does not hate being a doctor. This is a PSA for all people considering going here. Dont. Just go to the one in Lyndhurst instead, unless you want to be seen by someone who will ignore your comments and patronize you when you are seeking help. ESPANOL: Raramente publico reviews.
Read moreI want to first say that I have been going here for quite some time. There are many different providers in this location, and most of them are professional and understand how to treat patients with respect and empathy. There is one provider that is an NP, I believe her name is Tamika. Every time I go there when she is there, she shows her opinion instead of having a poker face, and she lacks compassion and empathy. One time I went there, and she gave me a lecture and inaccurate information because another provider told me something completely different regarding my diagnosis. Just recently I went there to get my medical card, and I had just come back from my primary doctor, same day with a BP of 140/80 that would allow me to receive a medical card for 2 years. I was diagnosed with white coat syndrome, which was within my history. I went there with my paperwork in hand to show them I had just came back from my primary. When the medical assistant took my BP, mind you she is professional, lets you know what she is going to do and she is therapeutic, my BP again was the same as it was earlier that day. Then the NP Tamika comes into the exam room, aggressive, her bed side manner is rough, and she actually stresses me out with all her comments etc, then she tells me she has to take my BP again, and now, of course I am starting to feel my blood boil, and she takes my BP with the machine on both arms, then she takes my BP manually, and now my BP is something 160/100 from her stressing me out, and taking my BP over and over. I am not a medical provider, but I do know that stress, pain, and also taking a BP on the same arm multiple times can cause an inaccurate reading. She should know that since she is an NP, and she should also have understood my history by reading it since it states I suffer from white coat syndrome. It is important for the provider to be respectful, therapeutic, professional, and also critically think that possibly due to my history, that she is the cause of my BP going up and up from 140/80 to 160/100. What do you expect was going to happen if you stress me out and then take my BP on the same arm 4 times in a row. I felt that this lady was out to get me. Every time I go there, and she is there, its like she just provoking and nasty. This was a bad experience because of her. The front desk, the medical assistant, and everyone else was amazing, but NP Tamika needs to go back to her university and take a few more classes on how to be professional and work on empathy. I was not going to write this, but this needed to be said so possibly she can humble herself and try to work on how she handles her patients. I paid $140.00 dollars to be...
Read moreI have been coming to this urgent care for a few years now and I have always been very happy with the service. However, I will no longer be coming here after my visit last Friday, August 2nd.
I came to the urgent care in the morning because I was feeling sick. I was worried about having Covid. The receptionist was very nice and so was the medical assistant. They are the reason I am giving two stars to begin with and not one.
I cannot say the same about the doctor who saw me and I highly doubt that he is even a doctor to begin with. He told me I had Covid and I asked what do I need to do. I only had Covid once at the start of the pandemic when there was no cure or medicine or anything and I haven't gotten it again until last Friday (4 years without Covid, roughly). I am unsure of what medicine I need to take for Covid and I hoped he could help me out.
This is where you would think a doctor would educate you and ask you important questions no matter how much time has passed since the pandemic. That is exactly what he DID NOT DO. I treat Covid very seriously to this day because I have family members at home who can easily land in the hospital to this day because of it. He prescribed me a spray for my nose and Robitussin. That does nothing for me, I have a virus! He should have prescribed me an ANTIVIRAL medication. He DIDN'T EVEN bother to ask me if I live with people who are at a high risk for developing a serious illness because of Covid. I live with my mom who is severely asthmatic, diabetic, and has high blood pressure! I called asking why he sent me home with over the counter medicine and a spray rather than an antiviral and he first explained that he didn't recommend it. When I explained that I have a virus and need antiviral medicine he responded " You have a virus?" like he had no idea what planet he was on. I was there in the morning and he saw me! I cannot believe you have doctors this incompetent working there! I can understand a doctor not recommending a medicine but at least give the option to begin with and what to do if it is not working with the patient.
Please hire actual doctors to work there. This was ridiculous and frustrating. I refuse to believe who I saw on Friday was a...
