The worst PB locations I've ever been to; I do not recommend. I happen to be an avid fan of PB pastries and have been going to various locations in NJ over the years. This was the 1st time visiting North Brunswick location, i ordered a specific birthday cake for my son to pick up same day as it's the family favorite and we have been having the same cake for everyone's bday for the last several years. The app had it available so I ordered to save time. Showed up to pick up a while later expecting to be in and out. But I was told by the cashier the cake I ordered was unavailable so I should get something else. I was pissed they put me on this spot instead of giving me a heads up before I showed. I said someone should've called me. The dude said they tried calling me but..... I got multiple spam calls but not one from your store. And how about an email /text? Sure they attempted to contact me.. NOT. He said he'll adjust the price for the cake I get. Obviously? I was not offered anything other than a purfuntory "sorry" for the inconvenience they caused. Thanks to them I was in a bind, so I picked one they had on hand. And I got home and saw they wrote a "happy birthday" on the paper bottom, not ON the cake?? Are we supposed to lick the chocolate off the cardboard paper? There was PLENTY of room on top of the cake because of the sad/skimpy placement of strawberries just unacceptable for a $45 cake. What a slap in the face. This store is also extremly tight with too many tables for a tiny space. You can't even wait/walk around without running into people. It's a hazard. I'm taking an indefinite break from PB. You need to improve your app to reflect what's in/out of stock. You charge a premium for your products but your overall service lacks big time.    Read moreI will start the deserts are yummy! And I was excited to order a whole cake. I just want to let everyone know the poor customer service you will get there if you try to get a custom cake. Unless you are getting a cake from the display or the same exact one, be warned. We ordered a cake for my daughter 10th for 40ppl. I gave them a picture and the decorations. Was very specific about the colors needed white and hot pink. THEY said no problem, we got it. When we went to pick up the cake the colors didnât match. We asked if they could fix one frosting trimming that was salmon color and not hot pink. Now I have ordered cakes plenty of times before so I know any qualified baker usually wouldnât have a problem bc it was just a frosting trim. Iâm my mind easy fix. The lady instead told us, no I just give you your money back, we said but we Wanted the cake. She took the cake and took it apart leaving us without Any cake even tho we didnât agree to that. (Now in their defense I think it was a language barrier communication btw my husband and them however we specifically told her we Wanted the cake) they refunded the money and my husband left without a cake, I was so confused and without a cake. So THEN here comes the best part I went back personally and asked for a cake, they said we refunded your money, I said no problem I will buy a new cake from the display please just add my decorations bc they sold my cake to one of their own friends w new decorations.    Read moreThis place is disgusting. Stay away from this place. This place is extremely dirty and should not pass any sort of safety inspection. Came in Saturday afternoon. First thing I did was pick up tongs and tray to get pastries like Iâve done at other Paris baguettes. Unfortunately, I assumed the tongs were clean and didnât think to inspect it so when I went to pick up a pastry I wanted, I realize the handle of the tongs and the mouth of the tongs were covered in some light brown cream. I go look at the tongs area and four of the tongs were all covered in this cream. I shouldâve left after this first red flag. But no, I decide to give benefit of the doubt and pick up another tong. I proceed to go open the small sliding door for the pastry only to see the handles of the doors extremely dirty. Not just one handle but I look around and itâs most of them. Shouldâve been red flag number two. I grabbed my two pastries and ordered a large iced chai latte. Well, the amount of drink I got i might as well have ordered a smaller size because it was not filled to a large cup. It was over an inch below the top. While waiting for the drink, I also went back to the pastry section to see how much worse the conditions could be and the floorâs extremely dirty and the cake display in front has pools of water on the top. If I didnât know other Paris baguette locations were a million times better than this, I would never go to Paris baguette again. But I will just never come to the north Brunswick...
