I don’t normally leave bad reviews but todays experience around 8:15PM tonight was awful. I placed my order on the app and stood on line for my order- no problem there. The guy at the counter: But when I got to the counter the young guy with a slight afro and semi chubby cheeks just rudely starred at me without saying a word.. I didn’t know if he was ready for me bc usually they say “hi how can I help you” or something even one word. He just stood there waiting for me to talk so I told him my name. He rudely said the amount I owed, walked over to get my order and practically threw it at me. I still kept my composure and said thank you; with no response. Usually I would say something but I took the high road. If you don’t want to work there, then quit- don’t give the brand a bad name. The pizza: I got my order and came home. I asked for well my pizza to be well done and it was the complete opposite- the dough was still raw. Picture attached for proof. I’m not picky and am ok with medium but this was not even cooked- you can see the raw dough. I had a slight stomach ache after eating a slice so I threw it in the oven myself. But come on- idc if you didn’t read my instructions but atleast look at the pizza to make sure it’s actually done before boxing it for safety reasons. It’s pizza for god sake- it’s not rocket science

As a African American female the African American male that’s working in there is so rude. And the other employees of other ethnic groups are so much nicer. All I ask was for breadstick seasoning on the side and one guy was about to give it too as I told him I like to put it on my pizza and it is not an option when ordering however the African American male started saying who does that with an attitude. I stated I get it all the time no matter what location I go to and it’s never an issue. However, this guy made such a big deal frowning his face and getting an attitude with me and I was going to pay for it as I always do. Usually drive a little bit more and go to Edison just because I always felt they are always friendlier. Not to mention them messing up my order. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location. I think this guy needs to be retrained in customer service since there is nicer ways to say things or he should stay in the back and focus on getting the orders right since he did not come up front until my request. I literally been doing this for years and this is the first time I’ve ever had an issue.

We order pizza from here often. The last few times , there’s been HARDLY any sauce on the pizza. I lifted up the cheese and saw just a few drops of sauce here and there. This past weekend I ordered it again and thought to ask for extra sauce on the pizza. Still hardly any sauce. Why are they so stingy with sauce ?!?! There were also bubbles and just not good. And the breadsticks were burnt and went straight in the trash. I wish the manager gave a crap about this place and hired some competent workers. Whoever works here does not know a single thing about making pizza.

If I could rate this place with negative stars, I would. I placed an online order yesterday 9/21/15 at 7:52pm for delivery of a big box dinner at 9:00pm. I literally live 11 minutes from this pizza hit but was hosting a meeting so I tried delivery in order to multitask.

At 9:07pm my food had not yet been delivered but I was not worried until 9:38pm, my food still had not yet been delivered. Mind you, this location closes at 10pm. I used to work in a restaurant and if a customer placed an order for delivery at 9pm, that means it should be on the cat with all other orders going out at 8:35/8:45pm at the latest.

At this point, it is 9:45pm and I'm getting ready for bed. Not even hungry anymore. I called and spoke to someone that just lied repeatedly. "We only have one driver and they are only allowed to take two deliveries at a time... Oh yes, you live here right? Your food just came out the oven and it sitting in the warmer... I'll call you when he comes and puts your food in the car." PAUSE... If my food was suppose to be delivered at 9pm why in the work would it just be coming out of the oven at 9:47pm?

I said ok and hung up, then decided to just drive there and get it myself since I don't trust them at this point to do my refund appropriately. I get on Rte 1 and not even 3 minutes later, the delivery guy is calling my phone back to back asking me where I am and he is lost but he is sitting outside of my building. I rush back home and start asking questions to verify the lies that Ana (or whatever her name is) at the store had told me. "How many orders can you carry?" '5 to 6' "Okay, I appear to be the only delivery in your car since there are no other empty warming bags in there, did you just come from the store?" 'looks like a deer caught in headlights can I just say something?' "I'll just take my order please.."

He proceeded to pull my solo order out of his car which was, missing items, and my food was stone cold so I decline it. So much for "just out of the oven and in the warmer". I called Pizza Hut back to tell them I declined the order at 9:55pm and was greeted with "this is Pizza Hut we're about to close". I requested to speak with a manager about the ordeal and requested a refund. He asked for my card number again (which I did not give because I do not have to, my order number and information is already in the system. Like I said, I don't trust them at this point especially since I've been burned by several restaurants here before double and triple charging me). He pulled up my order by my phone number and stated he had placed a cancel.

They have until noon today before I call AMEX to take my refund back. I'm usually not a hostile customer because as a former server, I understand that things happen. However, what I don't appreciate are liars and poor...

I have sacrificed for you, truly sacrificed.

I have been on a mission to visit every pizza place in the area. At first, it's fun ... we hit the high spots first, then move on to the vast middle range of average-ness. Then ... the options begin to narrow.

I even visited Cici's and Little Caesar's: pizza dining at its nadir, but at least they don't pretend to be anything they are not. They embrace their mediocrity in service of a low price point.

Which brings me to The Hut. I have put this off, until only this option remains. Faced with this dilemma - my OCD tendencies, the specter of leaving this box unchecked, or of heartburn and suffering.

Yelpers ... I did it. I went to Pizza Hut.

Let me turn back time. It's my ninth birthday, in America's bicentennial year. I chose The Hut for my party. The folks there took me into the kitchen, showed me how the dough was made from scratch, how the sauce was made, how they took blocks of cheese and shredded it.

Fast forward to today, where the dough is frozen, sauce and toppings are delivered in bags and cans. Pizza Hut clings to survival not through quality food, but from gimmicky offerings, coupons, and a race to the bottom with discounting.

I went with a favorite memory from the past: the Pepperoni Lovers Pan. If there was a Hall of Fame for pizza, this would be in it. This is the pizza that began a national craze for toppings when it was introduced. And Pizza Hut Pan Pizza is its own unique thing. It's not traditional in any sense, related to Sicilian, or Chicago, or anything, really.

What it is now - is disappointing.

What I did get out of the experience, is raging heartburn that, 24 hours later, has yet to subside.

It's understandable how Pizza Hut survives in a fast food marketplace, in large areas of the country where options are limited. In New Jersey, where good local pies are ubiquitous, and good pizza is average and great pizza is fairly easy to find, it's a mystery.

My OCD complete, it's time to move on ... and purchase...

I want to take this time to share with anyone the experience we had at a Pizza Hut store located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We ordered a pizza and a dozen wings at 4:05pm and where told it would take 35 minutes. At just after 5pm we called for an update and where very rudely told we needed to be patient and that the delivery driver had left a half hour earlier, keep in mind we where located less then a half mile away. So we did as we where told and waited, at 5:45pm we called again to inform the store that we needed to leave at 6pm and if it could not be there by then, then we would need to cancel the order. At just after 6pm we received a call from the driver saying she got lost but was out by the street and asked if we could meet her at the car, we agreed to meet her at her car. Upon opening the food we found it to be cold at best. Unfortunately we had to eat it cold since we where staying in the hospital for the night and had no means to reheat the food. Although I have never written a review or even called an establishment to express any dissatisfaction in my life. I felt this needed to be brought to managements attention. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager and come to find out, the women who delivered the pizza was the manager and after informing her of what she probably already knew, that the food was cold and very late, she proceeded to tell me that it was my fault for not checking the food and that it took her 2 hours because she could not find out, yet she never called the number provided and we had called twice for an update and where told that she was on her way and to be patient.

These where the facts of my experience and with them you can come to your own conclusions of my level of satisfaction with...
