I come here all the time and utilize the Wendy's app for it's offers. The app gives you a coupon code to show to the cashier and it's never been a problem. Today I came by and asked if I could use a mobile coupon from the app (just to make sure) and the cashier confirmed that I could. I tried to use a coupon for a free 10 piece with purchase and the cashier needed the manager's help, and the manager came and said that we couldn't use it unless there was a bar code to scan, however, all the Wendy's app said was to show the cashier the code. And we told, and showed, the manager and she kept insisting over and over that I needed a bar code and wouldn't let me use the coupon at all, no exceptions. I serve at a restaurant, and if a customer even doesn't like a meal or a drink, we take it off the bill, no questions asked. If they want to use an EXPIRED coupon, we'll make the exception to keep them happy and satisfied. You're telling me I had a valid coupon and this girl couldn't take the what, 5 dollars?, off the bill? If it was my mistake, I would understand, but she had no valid reason not to take it. I'm not upset about paying the extra 5 bucks, just the fact that she really seemed to care a lot more about it than my satisfaction. She didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. The manager that night seem overwhelmed and was running the show which I totally understand but her answer was to replace the burger and keep it moving, I would have been more understanding if she took my name and number down and called me at a later time when this did not happen I told her I will reach out to corporate. Corporate was very understanding especially when it comes to being about respecting someone religious beliefs. They told me the district manager would call me and here it week 3 and I have not her from them especially after I made a second call and text. I did receive a call from the restaurant manager who did not have a way with words. He did not seem to know how to remedy the problem and was like okay we'll refund your money. I just left the location after ordering a simple lunch and requesting the burger freshly made and to include sour cream and butter w my potato w chives. I even said if you need me to pull over and wait -at drive up- I didn’t mind. The window person apparently ignoring my request just replied w the $19 charge. Again I asked for a fresh made Jr cheeseburger. Cashier replied ok. I was kind and mannered dealing w the employees by saying please and thank you. I was hoping they’d notice and provide food the way I requested. I got home and forget about it, burger old dried and shriveled. No sour cream or butter included w potato and my Dr Pepper was flat.
