Blackberry River Bistro — Restaurant in North Canaan

5.27.21 Has been a while since we last ordered and the quality of our meal was superb. The pork belly ramen, chicken carnitas rice bowl, pork belly buns and salted butterscotch cookies were to die for. Thank you guys for providing a local restaurant that is convenient, has fantastic food & very friendly service.

Another great meal from the bistro. We had their Bibimbap bowl and it was delish. Green wings and salted caramel chunk cookies were tasty as always.

Got takeout today. Outstanding. Queso dip & Mexican corn as appetizers. Coconut curry chicken thighs and a grilled cheese brushed with Morel mushroom butter were delicious as entrees. Topped it off with salted caramel chunk cookies. Don't feel like cooking? Order here!

It is so nice to have a local restaurant that serves great food....

We visited the area for the first time and saw the Blackberry River Bistro was well recommended. We had no idea what a surprise we were in for. The restaurant is small, but we found a place to sit right away. The menu had something for everyone. We ordered a Kale Caesar Salad while was outstanding. Packed with flavor and plated beautifully. Next the Pork and Veggie Dumplings. They tasted fresh, the dipping sauce was light and delicious. Finally, we had a delicious gnocchi and a burrito, both great. The gentleman who served us (owner?) was professional and polite, moving fluidly from one table to the next to make sure they had what they needed. VERY WELL...

It was my wife and my 37th anniversary. My wife loves butternut squash ravioli so I searched and searched for restaurants that had it on their menu. I finally found Blackberry River Bisto listed it as a special back in September so I wrote to see if it was going to be offered again. I didn't really expect to hear back, but Audry respond and offered to make them for us on our visit to the area. The atmosphere was simple elegant, and wonderful, the staff was so kind and courteous and the food was absolutely excellent! My wife was thrilled, I was the hero, but all the credit goes to Audry and her husband, they truly made our special day even more...
