Trackside Tacos — Restaurant in North Canaan

As much as I want to Support a local business our meal was super disappointing. The “rice and beans” was basic white rice with no seasoning. The salsa and guac tasted store bought. The “queso” was chunky and separated, like they clearly don’t understand how to properly melt cheese into a sauce. The steak tasted okay and at least had seasoning, but I think we just wished they offered carnitas or classic taco truck style shredded beef. For the high price we felt that it would have been cheaper and more satisfying if we just cooked Goya seasoned rice and made tacos at home. Would consider trying it again if they up their game, maybe offer homemade corn tortillas and try a bit harder to make proper...

Amazing food & amazing service in a beautiful area of Canaan. I go with my family every Saturday since their soft opening & everything we have tried exceeds any and all expectations. The staff is professional and extremely nice. The area is comfortable, beautiful and clean. I recommend Trackside Tacos to everyone. Great food, great service & great scenery. Even the drive from Torrington is a beautiful scenic drive that never gets old. This place is my favorite...

It's a cute looking place, but, I'm sorry, this was awful. At about 2pm, no one there but me, the order was wrong, the side sauce missing and the taste a far cry from anything taco-like.
