I was served the incorrect order that also included an allergen (staff was informed of allergen beforehand). I was asked if I ordered the tots with parm, I said yes as I’d ordered the parm and pesto tots, and was handed a grilled cheese with tots. I checked the menu since it was my first time visiting to make sure I hadn’t ordered wrong.
I went to the front a minute after being served and politely asked for the correct order, and was told that I needed to correct the staff immediately after being served instead of waiting, and that I had said yes to parm and tots when she had asked. I’d gone up as soon as I had realised the order was wrong so I wasn’t sure how I could have done anything differently, especially after being served an allergen.
The tots were delicious initially, but I later became nauseous as there was a large amount of grease in the meal. The atmosphere was pretty good, but the experience was soured by the unnecessary comment from the staff. I would recommend going to the original Bright Penny instead of the outpost, much better service and better...
Read moreI stopped by Bright Penny Brewing Outpost on a chilly December evening recently hoping to catch a quick bite between the Dinner and shopping crowds. The Outpost offers a brief Menu (see photo) of widely diverse Melts, Sandwiches, Wraps and specialty Chicken Wings. I asked for the Brisket Dog (normally I wouldn't go within miles of a Hot Dog, but the Menu stated that it was made from chopped Brisket) and the newly offered Cajun Fries which are not yet listed on the Menu (see photo of both). The Brisket Dog had the distinctly rich flavor of a well-heeled, Texas style-smokey Oak, Medium Brisket. A truly enjoyable taste. The Cajun Fries were the biggest surprise of the evening. A combined flavor of bold, earthy flavors and spiciness reminiscent of Cajun style garlic, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper or smoky-tomato Creole cooking. Not too hot, but wonderfully tasty. One piece of advice... If I have the chance to revisit the Outpost I would forego the Bun and trimmings on this item and order a second Dog as part of the order. Well done...
Read moreMy wife and I attended the pre-Valentines Day dinner at Bright Penny Outpost this week. We've had the pizza and deviled eggs at the main location in the past and have always been impressed. This though...this was something else!
Thai coconut bisque followed by steak Madagascar and baked stuffed shells. Then we finished it off with a raspberry chocolate cake and some of the best carrot cake I've ever had.
Each meal was paired with a beer that contained complimentary tasting notes to the dish.
This was all incredible and I really hope that Bright Penny does more events like this. Kudos to the wait staff and the expert chefs that created all of...
