Joe's Old Fashioned Barbecue — Restaurant in North Carolina

My fiancé and I went to Joe's the week prior to 7/31/24 we got 2 small pork chop plates and 2 sweet teas upon check out the manager charge me 42$ I asked wow what did we order the special is only $10.50 she said you ordered off the menu I said ok and paid it. Then on 7/31/24 I return with my co workers as I was looking at the menu to decide what I was going to order I observed the prices of the pork chop plates and the 2 teas it was only $30 so upon checking out I confronted the same manager along with conferring the waitress that had taken my order the week prior and told the same manager she had over charged me the week prior she put all kind of excuses that she don't remember.. I took out 2 thousands dollars out my pocket and laid it on the counter in front of her and told her I'm not trying to steal $$ from you because I got money and I need her to make it right by either giving me my money or equivalent of food thre of . I wanted my money or 2 pork chop sandwiches or I was not coming back until she made it right !! Her face turned red as a tomato 🍅!! She flung her head around and saying nothing and stormed off to the Kitchen saying nothing and left me standing at the cash register... so I advise people to not eat at Joe's bar b q.. if she cheated me . There's no telling how many more senior citizens that she's cheated who has trouble reading or...

This place has BBQ on the sign, but that's the only thing BBQ about it. THE ONLY MEAT CLOSE TO BBQ IS THE " CHOPPED MEAT " AKA pulled pork so tough they have to chop it because it can't be shredded. I ordered the 2 meat plate.... I got ribs and chicken... when I was checking out, i asked what was bbq on the menu, I was told the ribs were... but then when I asked why they had breading on it, I was told ribs get cooked in the oven.. ( the " ribs " btw were just chewed up slop two peices didnt even have a bone and the other half of the meat was grisle ) the chicken I was expecting smoked or bbq but it was deep fried.... Good fried chicken, but that's not BBQ.. THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO IS DEEP FRY THINGS..... The sides weren't any better, freezer onion rings, mashed potatoes weren't even the good instant kind, and my potato salad was WARM. If you want deep-fried 101, go here. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the large catfish platter, which included 3 fillets, a large serving of crinkle fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw. The catfish was excellent and the fries were good. The serving size was significant. I was unfortunately disappointed with the hushpuppies as they were rather bland and the coleslaw had little flavor or texture. I tried some of my friends potato salad, which we were told was made on site and it was mushy and tasted too eggy for my tastes. My friend had offered it to me as he was also not happy with it.
