We tried this place because we were hungry. We ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and the Supreme pizza. The Buffalo chicken pizza was decent but a few things made the pizza not good.it was too salty and it didn't taste like chicken. The chicken tasted like cardboard. I think the employees put too much salt. It almost tasted like the amount of salt the ocean has.
The Supreme pizza was decent as well. I would rate it a 4.5 out of 10. When I first picked up the pizza it was stiff like cardboard. There was sauce but, it looked like tomato paste. Definitely not impressed with this. The pizza itself is standard (nothing to write home about); however, one of the pizzas we chose was a “specialty”, the margheritta pizza. We paid $22 for what turned out to be your standard cheese pizza with some chopped tomatoes sprinkled on top! There was no fresh mozzarella and ZERO basil… NOT a true margheritta pizza and definitely not worth the upgraded charge. We ended up doctoring it ourselves to get some taste (chopped some basil ourselves to sprinkle on top and added some red pepper for some flavor). We LOVE Lisa's!!! This is always our first stop when we visit Hatteras. We make it a point to leave early enough from Virginia so we get here in time to have Lisa's for lunch, then get to our beach house when it's ready. We usually eat here 3-4 times in the week we stay here, it is THAT good! They have incredible pizza, amazing side dishes, huge calzones, their pasta is so good too, you really can't go wrong with anything you order there. My personal favorites are the Garden Pesto pizza, and The Hippie pizza (which has a hummus base! Absolutely try it if you like hummus!). They're both great vegetarian options.
