I thought the Statesville McDonald's off I-40 was the worst one I'd been to until I made the poor decision to patronize this location. I ordered a coffee with (2) sugar on the side and got (22) sugar packets instead. Another time I ordered pancakes and was missing one flapjack plus utensils. The drive-thru is even worse, vary rarely does anyone get their order correct. These aren't isolated incidents but ongoing. One would think that a place that's open (7) days would have it together. Also, their employee turnover is ridiculous, new people every (2) weeks.
I left the above paragraph (3) months ago but a recent visit warrants an additional review. As I said previously this McDonald's is as bad as the one in Statesville but also on the same level as the one on MLK Drive in Winston, the worst one in the area!! This one on Highway 150, Arcadia, gave me a coffee without a lid, spilled part of it on the counter and left to take an order, I got some napkins and wiped up the mess. The person before me ordered (2) sandwiches and they were both wrong. During a 2nd attempt to fix the sandwich issue they couldn't find the customer who was sitting in the front counter/stool area facing the order counter. It's like these (3) locations are staffed with Forest Gump clones. "Stupid is as stupid does."
(4/15/23) I only go here because it's the closest one but I've decided after today that I will drive the additional (2) miles to the one on Lewisville Clemmons Road. Ordered a senior coffee and a bacon, egg cheese bagel. After a few bites I noticed that the sandwich was overloaded with mayo to the point of oozing out after each bite. I told the person that took the order and they said its only supposed to have a spoonful of mayo and that most of their good crew was not there today and that they are still in the learning phase. After eating I ordered a refill on the senior coffee plus an apple pie. Someone in the back said that I never ordered anything so the register person tried to charge me for a refill. I had to get my tray, empty coffee cup and sandwich wrapper as proof that I just ordered 15 minutes ago (had thrown the receipt away because the lid came off the beverage and spilled on the proof...

Update 7/31/2019: emailed the address at bottom of receipt; was promised contact with management at the restaurant within 48 hours. Wanted me to provide mailing address to send coupons ad an apology... seriously? Sounds like a scam; I'm not putting my info out there like that. If they really wanted to send coupons, they'd be digital ones through email or the app.
7/23/2019: Placing order was problematic; screen did not show items in my order only total. I repeated my order twice, but it was never repeated back to me to confirm. Person who took my order neglected to input a second large fry into the computer. Paying was swift, and drinks were recieved quickly. After that, we were told to pull forward to the door and someone would bring our food out shortly. It took ten minutes for someone to bring out only a large fry; where were our nuggets and second large fry? The worker wanted to see our receipt! If they had followed what was on their screen, they would know what food items were supposed to be in our order! When the worker went back inside, I followed. It was then that we were informed that the second large fry was never put on our ticket. They finally handed me cold nuggets that had sat under a heat lamp for too long. It shouldn't take this amount of headache to get the food that someone ordered, let alone have fresh food items and place an order...

There’s golden arches in sight so you make a left-hand turn to get into that drive-through but the line seems too long so you decide to go inside. You order on the kiosk, but you can’t pay so you wait at the register to pay you pay Then proceed to stand there and stare at the staff as they all buzz around pretending not to see you waiting for your food. Your name is called you grab your bag you go to the car open the bag and ready to eat. You look and your oatmeal is watery. You decide maybe I can go ahead and eat it but then you change your mind because you just paid seven dollars for this oatmeal so you go back inside and let someone know this oatmeal has too much water. The employee yells out she said this oatmeal has too much water looking for confirmation from staff, knowing that if it was her oatmeal, she wouldn’t wanna eat it that watery either. So she politely tells me wait just a minute. I’m waiting anticipating this delicious oatmeal with apples and raisins however, when I get the cut back The employee mind you a manager decides to just pour some of the water out instead of remaking it so that it’s not water. Now I’m in a conundrum because I’m hungry, but I don’t want watery oatmeal and no one in McDonald’s as of this day. Seems to know how to bake oatmeal properly. America has failed us.
