Old Ferry Seafood — Restaurant in North Carolina

Stopped in to pick up some shrimp for dinner. We first noticed how clean the place was inside and the lack of fishy smell that some other places have. The fish were all covered when we arrived, but an employee quickly uncovered them so we could see the fresh catch. Ended up getting 2.5 pounds of peeled, deveined shrimp at what we felt was a very reasonable price.

Pros: 1.) Good prices. Their prices for shrimp and other catch all seemed very reasonable. 2.) Good service. Employees were very attentive.

Cons: 1.) Cocktail sauce. We love a spicy cocktail sauce, and the "spicy" one they recommended was hardly spicy at all. Very minor critique, but we love places that make their own and they only have premade brands.

Would definitely stop in again to try out some of the other...

What a great place! The seafood is great, but the love of the staff is even better! The prices are great and even had free hot dogs on July 4th! The kids loved going and seeing the boats come in and go by. You get a great firework show from the dock as well! The tuna I bought was caught fresh off of Morehead City that morning and was the best tuna I have ever had in my life. The shrimp were outstanding and made the best dishes at our house while on vacation! Can't wait to come back...

Always fresh selections of shrimp, tuna, flounder, scallops, clams, catch of the day, etc. They offer a seafood boil package, just tell them how many people band they put it all together for you!
