This business wasted and will never get my time again. With a thousand dollars in my pocket, I was shopping for a house warming gift for a good friend. It seems my business was not needed, they were understaffed, or Monday morning was too busy to bother with a walk-in customer. A young man did greet me, when I stood there looking at him in confusion. He listened politely also. But it was not his job to help customers. He was not in sales. He did welcome me to browse and directed me to another desk. Nobody at that desk greeted me. They seemed to be too busy. So I browsed. For quite a while, I browsed. Walked all the way through and around the store twice. I even found several things suitable which were in stock. And I needed to make a purchase that day. Then I walked outside to another part of this business. There were employees about in that area but apparently sales was not their job either. After about 45 minutes I just left. We stopped there and met with Maddie, a student intern working as a sales consultant. She was super helpful, and has the knack of listening to the customer and quickly moving to meet our needs. We ordered a couch and chair for delivery to our new home we were moving in. once the couch was in we arranged delivery for our arrival. On the way here, we received word that another company was defaulting on our bed order. At 3:30 in the afternoon, we called April to see if we could expedite our shipping to the next day. When we told her that we wanted to use the couch set to prevent us sleeping on the floor, she sprung into action. She arranges for her husband to deliver our order in his personal truck that same night. At 7:00 PM they were setting it up in our home. Having recently moved to the area, I have placed 3 orders at Porch Concepts in the last month. On my first visit, I was supposed to be helping a friend shop for bar stools and ending up ordering 3 for myself from Maddy. On my second visit, Brooke helped me select a table and chairs for my screened porch and another set for my patio. I was in the store for at least an hour trying to select furniture light enough for me to bring inside by myself when storms are coming, but still sturdy enough to withstand normal outdoor use. Brooke showed me several options at different price points and offered great insights on fabric and color selections.
