My Wife and I were in the area and decided to try this place out. Reading the menu, we were intrigued but the crispy chickn sandwich as well as the nachos with the so-called “crispy chickn”…..now before I start let me say this, the service and atmosphere was impeccable but that’s as far as this goes for the establishment. The food however, not happy at all. I’m not sure why you all label tofu as “crispy chickn” when there is nothing crispy nor chickn like AT ALL! Literally the only “crispy” aspect to either dish is the bread and nachos otherwise it’s a soggy hodgepodge of random items thrown together to create a plate of despair. You’d be better off labeling the chickn as simple tofu because that’s what it is. You say that the tofu is “crusted” in this peanut granola mix yet it’s just dressed in it. Peanut butter and granola do not belong on nachos…pesto does not go on nachos. You took one of the simplest meals and completely ruined it trying to innovative. Peanut butter, granola, pico de gallo, chips, tofu, pesto, and un-melted (should have been melted) cheese…. Who thought of this? I wouldn’t expect my children to come up with such non-sense. When I left the establishment, the worker asked how was the food. I couldn’t fathom to have a response and she then went on the say “I bet it was interesting”…. No, not interesting. Dragonfruit on pizza is interesting…. YET peanut butter-tofu-granola-chips-pico-cheese, is not interesting, it’s down right disgusting. I managed to eat 10% of this almost $40 meal and all I could do was just throw it away. Wasn’t even worth the refund, you’ll need it. Signed, a disappointed patron.
Oh one more thing, I have no issue with the staff. They aren’t the ones creating the menu or how it’s supposed to be executed. This is for the owners!

Read moreTo start, I do not have any specific dietary restrictions but I thought it would be neat to try this place out considering the consistent 5 star review. I ordered two dishes, one cookie and one cheesecake, one of which I ate in the cafe and one that I took home. Immediately staggering was the price of each, where I had ordered and assumed the cost would be much like other cafes I have been to around the Charleston area. The two items rang me up around $25 with tip. I thought this was fine because, as the reviews stated, the dishes were meant to be fantastic. As for taste, it may be that my palate is not refined enough or that I am simply not used to the ingredients that are used within the creations, but I had an extremely difficult time eating either dish. I really didn’t know how a cookie or a cheesecake could ever taste like how they did, vegan or otherwise. The taste was honestly so shocking to me that I became embarrassed that I may not have understood why the cookie was good and exited the building quickly. The cheesecake was much the same; I needed a few glasses of coffee to finish that one off. People seem to love this place and that’s good, but I really could not understand the flavor profile. I would honestly try a few other dishes to see if it was simply that I didn’t like the two items that I bought, but the price has stopped me since. If you are a vegan, this place is probably great for you and I’d encourage you to try it, as many reviews state just that, but if you are not one, consider...
Read moreI normally have a good experience with this restaurant, but my interaction tonight made me question using Annie O as my to-go order go to. I usually place my to-go orders for when I’m on my way to work and it’s usually pretty quiet and only the staff is usually there when I pick up my order today. Today, there were a couple new people that I haven’t met before. I check out and leave my usual tip and realized they have forgotten half of my order. I had called in advance to make sure they would have time to make my order before I arrived, and I even ended up being a few minutes late for pick up. Since I’m on my way to work, I don’t have time to wait for them to make another. They refunded my order for the pre-tax amount of what the quesadilla would’ve been. That’s on me. I probably should’ve asked to redo the entire transaction but in the moment I didn’t think of it so now I’ve tipped and pay taxes on an order for two quesadillas got terrible service and only ended up with one half of my order. So essentially I spent $23 on one small quesadilla, when I was relying on this order for my breakfast and my dinner for night shift. So now I have to spend even more money at the overpriced hospital cafeteria on food just so I don’t go hungry. I don’t think I’ll be doing anything other than dine in from now on, and I probably will rethink tipping before I...
