Welch’s Seafood — Restaurant in North Charleston

Normally I always shop here. I bought a dozen And a half of crabs yesterday evening. One of the employees who was helping me was telling another employee they had a bucket of dead crabs. Some how when I got home. I had 5 dead crabs. I watched the lady filter through the crabs however she either didn't care or, was ready to go home. I called back and was told Glen the owner would give me a call, I never received a call from glenn. I went back to the store and Glenn was very nonchalant and did not show any good customer service he told me I should save the dead crap as hot as it is in Charleston who would save dead crab. Call on Friday about ordering a bushel of crabs that I needed on Saturday for a cookout, and the lady that I spoke with, I believe her name was Ms. Janice or Jeanette was so nice, friendly, and helpful. She told me to call back on Saturday, and I did. Thank God, She was able to get me a bushel of crabs. When I went to pick up my order. I couldn't believe how nice, and clean the place was. And the smell was so fresh in there. You would think it would've had that very fishy smell by it being a seafood market, but it wasn't. They was so nice, and friendly, price was great, all seafood looked so freshed. Especially my crabs! Big blue male crabs, and not one dead crab. It's Sunday, around 3pm, they were busy. Took a few minutes to get to me. The place is small and they have a nice selection of seafood, whole fish, fillets, scallops, shrimp, clams, cluster oysters. I didn't think to ask what was local. Sauces and seasonings as well. I ordered some king crab, Dungeness crab cluster and a whole fish (roe shad) which Isa really nice looking fresh fish Asked if I wanted it cleaned I said yes scaled and gutted.
