I arrived on Friday, 8/18, around 9 PM. We went straight to our room since we had the digital key. After getting into the room (319) and starting to unpack, we realized the TV and AC were not working. The TV was not as big as a problem, but the AC was barely running and blowing hot air. I called the front desk, and Khira said she could either move us or come up and try to fix it. I asked her to come up and look at it since we were unpacked and didn’t really want to move. Khira came up, power-cycled it, and said to give it a while to see if it would cool off. We gave it some time, but nothing happened. We called back, and she came up and gave us new room. We moved to that room, turned on the air, and it worked. However, we found that the TV was not working in this room either.|We unpacked our baggage and started to make the pull-out bed for our 8-year-old daughter. To our surprise, our daughter noticed clothing and a package behind the couch. It looked like lingerie and a used condom wrapper. This was very sickening to see in our room, especially since we had already noticed that both rooms were poorly cleaned. This confirmed our suspicion that the rooms were not being properly cleaned. It was late, so we just went to sleep and planned to speak to the manager on duty on Saturday morning.|On Saturday morning, I went down to the front desk to ask for the manager and was told that they do not have management on the weekends. The best they could do was leave the manager a message, and they would call me back on Monday morning. This seemed odd, as it is unusual for a hotel not to have any management staff on hand. I left my information and proceeded to Starbucks, where I waited for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I could hear them in the back room and said hello twice but got no response. This was another sign that management at this hotel is very poor and not focused on customer service|I was told I would be called Monday and still a week later have not heard one word from the manager.|I will say that I did reach out to Marriott and they have been communicating with them and they have said they have told management 3 times to call and they apologize that management at this Hotel does not meet the Marriott standard but unfortunately they are not able to do anything about it.|Here are some of the other issues I experienced in this stay in both rooms.|- Bathtub was not cleaned and very dirty in the bottom.|- No soap left for the sink.|- Sheets on bed were inside out.|- Floors in bathroom looked like they had not been cleaned in a while.|- Carpets were not vacuumed.|- Elevator smelled horrible. They were card boarded up so I assume that they are being worked on since all the tiles were...

Read moreThis would be a 1.0! I would rather not give any stars! All I have to say is "Do not go!!" My experience was only palatable due to the company that was with me at this horrendous hotel. I have stayed at other Courtyards and they were clean and had the services/amenities they stated. This hotel is currently in the middle of a renovation and did have their amenities available, which SHAME ON MARRIOTT was not advised to my companion when he CALLED and booked the hotel. What's worse is he called the Front Desk to advise he would be a late check in on Friday night and still NOONE advised him of the hotel's condition... AND they placed us into the most disgusting room I had ever been placed in! There were stains allover the 70's carpeting, the furniture looked broken and battered.. the fan didn't work in the bathroom, the deadbolt was jammed and didn't latch. It was the first floor so the lovely view was of the construction workers and all their equipment. Also, their keycard machine did not work for a whole day! I found this out because the front desk misplaced the key card my companion had LEFT AT THE FRONT DESK for me... which meant they couldn't make me a new key and had use their override keys to bring me into the disgusting room. This is after they had me advise my gentleman companion they wouldnt let me into the room until he called them back to verify my identity.. (where was the original key??) When my gentleman companion returned to the hotel he immediately went to the front desk to advise them of the room issues found to request a room change. I was surprised when the woman Raven, that followed him into the room actually ADMITTED she knew about the issues and still put him into the room!! How unprofessional! And she never even apologized or offered a discounted rate!! Did she move us? Yes.. to a renovated room? Somewhat... the rooms weren't fully renovated, work was still being done.. we had a knock at our door in the morning to have a worker come inside our room twice with NO notice!! The water was shut off temporarily, and the best part was when we decided to sleep in we woke up to men speaking outside and hammering right outside our balcony putting up siding... oh and the elevators.. OMG!! Well, all I can say is that Marriott must have abandoned the staff at this hotel since some of them were nice but they seemed tired of the state of their hotel, their systems constantly going down (it went down when we asked a question about out checkout date)... and I don't blame them!! Do better Marriott!! Here are some photos for...
