I had asked my friends where there was good pizza in town. They recommended amore as they have been before and said the food was good.We came for beat the clock. We arrived about three minutes before 5 and got our table.A very nice blonde women asked if we were there for beat the clock and we said yes,she motioned for us to come out even though we technically had about 2 minutes left until 5. I started to order.I ordered a large plain....a large half plain and the other half with olives and pepperoni....another large pepperoni...and a large bacon...Along with 6 fountain drinks and a 24 piece wing. The women taking our order was not the friendliest. Our first pizza came out which was pepperoni..it was pretty good our second pizza which was bacon came out it was so so.The crust and thickness was so off from the pepperoni there was no consistency. Our next came out which was a plain and was for my mom to take home.I talked to her later and she said it was so different then the pepperoni we had first as well, and the pizza was over done. Also there are no refills on drinks...At any other restaurant a soda is 1.99 and you get unlimited refills...infinitos offers this as well as all chinese buffet's and most other pizza shops I have been to as well, and being a local guide I have been to many. Our last pizza came out I had ordered half plain half pepperoni and black olives...it came out with peppers olives and onions..When I went to tell them it was wrong the unfriendly lady made me feel like I was the idiot and ordered wrong.Every adult in my party was at the register when I ordered and all said I ordered correctly. At the same time I was ordering an employee from the back was asking her what the pizza was so I guess he could get a head start...but she said a ticket will print, so I think that is when my order got screwed up.Regardless they took the pizza and a couple minutes later brought out what we thought was a new pizza...nope the onions were still on there and they picked the peppers off.So you mean to tell me someone had their fingers in my pizza picking peppers off and left the onions, and then just threw pepperoni on it.Between both families we spent a hundred dollars and this is the service we get.I also informed the cashier it was our first time there. One would think they would want repeat business.
Also I didnt realize it them but I do now I was charged wrong. Bill was 72.02 Four pizzas at 5 or so each 20 dollars ...I ordered four toppings which is 8 dollars according to menu....6 fountain drinks at 1.99 each according to menu....Does not equal 72 dollarsShould have been no more then 67.But I probaly got charged for onions which I never ordered.
Needless to say both families will not be back. The giving the same old pizza back and picking peppers off and leaving onions was the final straw.Plus besides the blonde lady who was nice the cashier...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst place since the new ownership took over a few months back. I've been a regular customer for years, and even continued since the new ownership have frequented Amore. However each time I order something is wrong with the food.
Tonight was a simple order for pickup. The hot food and perishable dairy were bagged together spoiling the cream cheese and egg salad with the hot food. Additionally my cheese steak was to have peppers ketchup and mayo. It had barely any cheese on it and light peppers. There was no ketchup or mayo on it. The salad also was supposed to have no onions as my partner is allergic and yet the salad had onions on it. We also paid for loaded tots. Instead we were given a bag of regular tots.
We spent $50 to have a decent meal after a long day of work and nothing was done right, and we paid for goods we didn't receive. I will not ever be returning and will absolutely disrecommend this place to...
Read moreI was a frequent customer of Amore but the past couple of times I was highly dissatisfied due to errors with my orders. Tonight was the final straw when the young lady working at the register gave me a nasty attitude when I questioned a charge on my receipt. I had ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak with the bleu cheese simply on the side instead of on it like it normally comes. I asked why I was being charged for the bleu cheese when it comes with the sandwich and she told me that I had to pay extra because "it was a lot more trouble for the cooks to remember." Absolutely outrageous. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 20 years, I was appalled by the implication that I was somehow difficult and therefore deserved to pay extra. I decided to save my tip money and will not...
