My wife Lisa and I ordered take out, both of us got the same thing. Only she got a really nice sirloin steak cooked just liked she asked. It was around 1 1/4 thick and she loved it. I on the other hand, I'm not sure what I received since we both ordered the same meal. My chuck of meat was around 3/8" of an inch thick and the tongue on my boot would've been easier to cut. It was the worst cut of meat I've ever had. So bad I didn't even eat it. Thank God I got 8 pieces of shrimp with the meal. A friend gave me gift cards that's what I paid with, I'm sure next time I see him he'll ask how our meal was, I'm sure to tell him the truth. He has a large company and he gives out the cards as comps, I bet he will change when he sends people for dinner, he's done it before. My wife's meal was fine so I guess if longhorn shoots for 50% they nailed it. But I and my wife won't be going back and neither will my friends and family. I don't recommend longhorn steakhouse anyone. I guess it's outback from now on, or at least a better restaurant that knows the difference between cut and how to cook a respectful steak. Not a hard thing to do, but I guess they received the one sales tonight but...
Read moreWORST dining experience I've had in a very long time. I wish I could give ZERO STARS. Last evening, Sunday 2/20), I ordered a medium-rare steak and a sweet potato with nothing on it. Instead, I got a well-done piece of rubber and a potato swimming in butter and cinnamon sugar! I was able to scoop out most of the sugar and butter and my steak was replaced with a barely med-rare. I had to eat the potato by itself before it got cold and then my steak while my friend watched because she was already finished. Furthermore, she ordered sauteed onions with her steak which tasted horrible and could not be eaten. Our waiter was polite enough and apologized, but nothing was corrected on the bill. Regardless, we left a tip well over 20% because we felt it wasn't his fault that the kitchen was so incompetent. When I choose Longhorn it's usually in the Allentown area and I've never had a problem. My friend lives in the Pottstown area so we tried this one. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the...
Read moreI have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant and recommend it whenever possible, but this one in particular was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, the host (who appeared to be the manager) didn't even look up to greet us or say that he would be serving us shortly. After a few embarrassing minutes, a waitress who noticed what had happened came over and showed us to a table. Never, in all the restaurants I have been to, have I been to such a dirty and poorly maintained establishment. Food was spread all over the restaurant, tables were dirty or cleaned with dirty cloths, leaving trails of dirt on the table, benches were covered in food scraps, and the carpet had several stains, revealing that it had not been cleaned and/or washed for a long time. I went to introduce the restaurant to my girlfriend and I regretted it! The waitress was very kind and professional, but it was clear that she was embarrassed to be serving in such a...
