Lighthouse Coffee and Roasters is one of the many independent coffeeshops in North Kingstown. You can find it on Route 1 on the northbound side of the road, as if you're driving up towards Providence.
The coffee and service are excellent. The sandwich menu has a lot of choices, with some gluten free options available. Staff were knowledgeable about allergens and what ingredients were in the baked goods. It was a comfortable place to order food.
One thing about Lighthouse is that they have a book club that meets every first Sunday of the month at 4 PM. Places that host third space events are wonderful additions to a community. You can tell the locals like it because there are a lot of police and fire patches adorning one of the walls.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWith change of a job Iāve been having some interest lately in trying different local coffee shops in my local area so I was excited to stop by here for the first time. Cute place, interesting things on the menu, staff was very pleasant but I cannot understand how this place is getting off on charging people almost $7 for a ālargeā 24 oz cold brew with cold foam. A medium coffee is much larger at other spots in the area. I can go to Feliciaās down the street and pay $7 for a massive cup of coffee. Itās too bad because when owners want to take advantage of the public and charge these prices it only negatively affects the staff working that day. Nobody wants to leave tips on a $7 coffee thatās the size of my hand. And to think if youāre getting multiple coffees and food youāre probably easily paying $30-40 if not more....

My order was for a pork roll sandwich and avocado toast. I received a chorizo sandwich ( which I wound up eating) but my wife's avocado toast should have never left the kitchen. The avocado was brown and actually black on some of the ends. Serving this to a woman who actually grew up in the tropics where avocados grew in her yard is a insult. I knew the owners were not there for the day. The staff offered to make me another but we asked to be reimbursed in which they did. Please for local business sake try to be more consistent with the product. One bad experience...
