Update— after 2 unpleasant experiences in a row here, I’ve sadly had to change my previous rating. Again, the server did not mention the loaded tot dish is burning hot. I learned my lesson last time but this needs to be said to every table that orders it. The night we went had a possibility of rain but we sat outside, which was the only option. The wind started to pick up and they had to put the umbrellas down. When we asked about what would happen if it rained, the manager said it wasn’t his concern- he just had to prevent injuries from the umbrellas in the wind. As soon as our food arrived, it began raining. My mom told them we needed to be inside. We had to carry our own food in and were seated in the corner of the bar, and trapped in by the chairs of the table behind us. Our food was cold and wet. When my mom spoke to the manager, he insisted on remaking my fish but by that point, I didn’t even want to eat there. The manager argued with my mom about what had happened and why he couldn’t move us inside (tables he said were reserved remained open the entire time we were inside). Also, the priority should be the paying customers who are there and have ordered over a reservation which may or may not show up. The fish was also burnt and greasy that night. The lack of concern for our experience and total lack of a plan for heavy rain along with the unprofessional way the manager interacted with us was off-putting. There are a million restaurants in the area and we will be choosing, trying, and recommending other options from now on.

I have eaten here every time I’ve visited Rhode Island. There can be a wait if you want to eat outside but the little Main Street is a cute spot to walk while you do. I love the loaded tater tots as an appetizer. Last time, they forgot to remind me that the ceramic serving dish was crazy hot and I burnt my finger. I love their salads, the Rueben sandwich, and my favorite is the fried fish. The batter has a great flavor and texture and I love the slightly spicy sauce with it. It’s the same sauce as the loaded tots. The summer chicken sandwich was ok and I loved the aioli but I probably wouldn’t order it again. I prefer the turkey with Brie sandwich. My mom loves their salad, tater tots, tuna melt, mashed potatoes, and Cole slaw. I wish there was a dessert menu with some variety (I think they have only had one option when we’ve asked and it wasn’t something that interested us). I haven’t tried any of the more classic seafood dishes. I love sitting by the water and having a relaxing meal here. I celebrated my birthday here and my mom celebrated hers as well when we visited from...

Wait Staff: 5/5 Seating Staff: 0/5 Vibes: 2.5/5 Food: 1/5

this place has been on my list to try for a hot minute! i looove the wickford village and from the outside looking in, i thought this place would be like the mooring in newport. it is unfortunately not like it and not a place i'll recommend. we came in after the wickford art festival during an in-between slow meal time on a saturday. the deck was empty with the exception of a few people at the bar and a couple tables seated in the corner facing the view. we were a party of 2 and seated away from the view next to a wall. the seating staff informed us that the deck section was over-seated. our waitress came over promptly and was super kind and the only saving grace of the experience. we watched as three more groups of 2-3 people were seated in the table we wanted. my friend went back to ask the seating staff if there's something going on and why we were isolated to a wall, and they said they need to speak to management for ten minutes then get back to us. we were tempted to leave but our server had put in our food and we wanted to appropriately compensate her service. they re-seated us but were not very warm about it.

we ordered a blackened shrimp caesar salad, ahi tuna tacos, and clam chowder. the shrimp was not blackened, it was seasoned and tasted steamed. it was also $23 but the shrimp were small. for reference, newport charges that market price but it's colossal shrimp so makes sense. the ahi tuna was not seared as described in the menu and just had everything but the bagel seasoning on it. the clam chowder separated, and was not digestible about 5 minutes in.

so disappointed and left feeling sad about the experience, didn't finish our food and left to another restaurant. i wish it were better because i still love...

My friend ranted and raved about this place so I was excited to go. It was a very warm day in November so we sat outside. We were there 15min before someone asked for our drink order but saw the server helping everyone else. We placed our food order. Calamari for an app, then I got a chicken avocado sandwich and my friend got a pulled pork hamburger. The calamari came out. It was cold and not very tasty. Our food came out and we both asked for fries but we're given tater tots. I asked why and server said "kitchen is out of fries so you got tots". After the server walked away is when my friend noticed that her burger didn't have any pulled pork on it. We got the servers attention and my friend asked about the pork. Server said "no, doesn't look like there's any on there". She went to the kitchen with the plate, came back and handed it back to my friend, "kitchen is out of pulled pork, sorry". My friend handed the plate back and said "that's the whole reason I ordered the burger, for the pulled pork" and server said "ok, do you want something else?". My friend got a beet salad. There was never any real apology for the wait time, lack of items in kitchen or any sincerity. Bill came out, nothing was deducted for the lack of items they were missing on their menu. One would really think a good server would know what the kitchen is short on to tell customers or even look at the food prior to bringing it out to realize it's missing something... The amount of money we paid for this visit was definitely not worth the mediocre service, tasteless food and lack of empathy...
