I had high Hope's for this place, online everything looks delicious. I brought my friends here to try it. We drove 30 minutes to get there. The reality of the situation was, is we waited for our order outside for 40 minutes to get a burger and fries. And the Cali bomb onion blossom. Yes I understand its cooked fresh to order, but there was ONLY ONE person waiting ahead of us. When I finally got my food the burger was nothing like as advertised and laying upside down smashed and I had 2 french fries, literally 2, laying in the bag, I ordered a mexi cali combo burger with fries. I brought it to the attention of the worker who apologized that the jalepeno nor french fries made it in my bag. I stood there for an additional 25 minutes waiting for a cold jalepeno and a total of 8 french fries later to be added to my sad bags, over an hour waiting, food cold, 20 plus dollars spent on each order, for a burger with a side, got home, the Cali bomb onion blossom was dripping with oil, so much it was running out of the styrofoam box and bag onto the car seats, the nacho cheese dip cup was half full and the lid was melted into the cheese. My friends food was just the same, soaked with grease, smashed mediocre burger and cold hard fries, a total of a handful if that in your order, To be fair, the burger had good flavor, if it could be made and served within at least 15 min or under ...and if the onion bomb was fresh and crisp and looked like the pic online with sauce etc..instead of wilted, dripping with grease, it's a great concept, but to pay 20 dollars for a soggy cold greasy crumpled burger, 8 french fries after 1 hour of wait and a dripping greasy monstrosity of an onion thing with no sauce on it as ordered, with melted plastic in the center is unacceptable. This place has what it takes to be that mom n pop good stop, you can see it and taste it, what it's supposed to be, but the staff although friendly, has produced the quality of the food and wait time into a pure fail, unacceptable quality vs price. To be fair, the sign said because of covid inside help was reduced, so maybe the staff is just overwhelmed, and unfortunately it reflected in the final product and wait time. Managers, help...
Read moreI only write honest reviews. And this is based on FOOD and EXPERIENCE. So let's start with food because that is why we go out to eat. The food was okay.. Instagram sure hypes this place up. I order the Cali Cali burger ( double cheeseburger) it's similar to in n out but costs way more. I wasn't very impressed.. I also ordered chicken strips combo ( bland and unimpressive) Siracha wings with fries and ranch dressing ( that they did not put in the bag) and the chicken sandwich combo ( they use the chicken strips so it was ehhh. Not impressive again) oh! And with 4 order of fires they gave 3 packets of ketchup... 3..…. Rating the food 4 out of 10 I've had better burgers and chicken elsewhere. Now let's talk about over all EXPERIENCE. You order at the walk-up window. There was someone at the register but DID NOT acknowledge us. We stood there for at least 15 mins. IT'S HOT OUT. My husband tapped the window and she just puts a finger up and doesn't open the window to say anything. Another person comes to the second window and begins to take our order 20 mins later.. now we would have left and gone somewhere else. But because the now hiring sign was up I figured we would give it a chance.. Service was slow but again they did have a now hiring sign so they could have been understaffed. It took another 30- 40 mins to get our food. When we went to the pick-up window to pick up our food the same bad customer service with here's your food everything is in there and closes the window.. Ummm. It was not. I had to walk back and wait another 10 mins to be acknowledged to ask for the ranch that supposedly was in there and more ketchup because they only gave us 3 little packs. The drive-in line was not very long but it was not moving. Ppl literally drove away from waiting. I don't blame them. Now, it all comes down to will I eat here again. No. Food was just okay and service was bad. If you choose to go I hope you have a better experience. I could look past the okay food if the...
Read moreSo I tried CaliBombs & Burgers after seeing it on an Eater Vegas list. Other reviews were good and now I know why. First of all the guy who took my order was very friendly and helpful. Then the manager (I think) greets me, etc and is friendly as well. After I paid I forgot to order extra CaliBomb sauce so I go back to order 2 extra sauces. The manager tells me no problem he’ll take care of it this time. Great customer service. When I pick up my food at the window the guy didn’t just hand me the bags and leave, he gives each bag individually telling me what’s in each bag and the sauces inside so I know nothing is missing. I was the only person at the walk up window and there were 2 cars at the drive thru and it only took about 10 minutes to get my order which is good since everything is made fresh when you order it. I ordered the the Cali Cali burger, a Street Bomb, and wings. The burgers are just like In-N-Out, grilled, brioche bun, fresh veggies, and your choice of raw or grilled onions (always go for the grilled onions). The burger was good. The wings were good as well. I got the Sriracha Glazed. Then there was the Street Bomb. Their Onion Bombs are just like a Blooming Onion at Outback. They have 3 different onion bombs and the Street Bomb has nacho, cotija, and shredded cheese, crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos, and a grilled jalapeño. It was great. I don’t know why more places don’t have these “blooming “ onions. But maybe I do. If you eat it right away the onion is nice and crispy. But it doesn’t travel well, it can get a little soggy so I recommend putting it in an oven for a few minutes (not a microwave!) a toaster oven is great. So great customer service, good food, and reasonable prices. I will be back and highly...
