I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Starbucks #9959 (2001 E Lake Mead Blvd, North Las Vegas, NV) on 03/07/2025 at 5:03 PM. From start to finish, my visit was met with rude and dismissive service, unprofessional behavior, and a complete lack of customer care.
I ordered a White Hot Chocolate and a Medicine Ball with no tea—just hot lemonade only through the drive-thru (Drawer 1, Register 2 & 3). The cashier taking my order was rude, inattentive, and dismissive, making me feel like my order was a burden rather than a simple transaction. When I got to the window, the same attitude persisted—short, unprofessional responses and no receipt was provided until I specifically asked for it.
Despite clearly repeating my order multiple times, I received the wrong drink. Instead of the hot lemonade only, my drink contained two tea bags floating in it. Frustrated, I immediately turned around to go inside and have my order corrected.
Upon entering, I was not greeted or acknowledged. When an employee finally decided to assist me, she greeted me with an irritated "yes," as if I was an inconvenience. When I calmly explained that my order was incorrect, she argued with me, claiming that I had ordered incorrectly rather than admitting the mistake. Instead of a sincere apology, she told me that "next time, I should order a Medicine Ball with the tea bags on the side."
At this point, it was clear that customer service was not a priority here. There was no accountability, no apology, and no willingness to correct their mistake with professionalism. When I asked for the employee’s name, she said "Mel." When I asked for the name of the drive-thru cashier, she refused to give it to me, saying, "No, but you can make a complaint about me."
She then tossed my replacement lemonade onto the counter, and when I asked to purchase a lemon loaf, she aggressively rang it up, threw it in a bag, and stood silently, waiting for me to pay. After I paid, she walked away without giving me a receipt, and when I asked for it, she responded, "There you go, it should print," without so much as a glance back in my direction.
After reading other Google reviews, I see that this Starbucks has a pattern of treating customers in this same manner—especially customers of color, with a clear racial bias in their interactions. No customer should ever feel ignored, dismissed, or treated with hostility at a place that is supposed to be welcoming.
Starbucks corporate needs to take a serious look at the management and training at this location. If customer service is not improved, it’s only a matter of time before more customers take their business elsewhere.

Read moreI've been here so many times thinking maybe things would be different or maybe the people working had a bad day.... So in other words I've given so many damn chances to these people.... I've been judged and looked down at since the second I walked into this Starbucks. Do they not realize it's illegal to profile customers?! I've spend over $15 each time I've come back and to top it off I'm never rude or disrespectful.... Yet every employee who helps me is nasty towards me... I even got told over the phone if I came in I could get a remake of the order I got the day before that wasn't at all what I ordered, but when I came into the store with proof of purchase I was told too bad so sad because she couldn't find my name in her system when I showed her the date and time and name of my order on a receipt so not finding me in her system should have been impossible. Also they refused to sever us waters when it's over 100 degrees outside. I can't stand how degraded and disgusting these employees have made me feel.... They should all be fired. Oh also multiple items they told me they didn't have... Like no toffee nut which I found out was at all locations so that's okay, but next was no butterscotch and finally today got told they couldn't make a chia tea frappe when I just got one the other day...
Read moreOverall i have had a good experience at this location unfortunately i had an encounter with a worker name rosa which i had order a drink through which when i get it just away then i notice that it was the wrong drink. So i turn around and go inside to see if the can exchange it. Which i wait and she turns from the drive thru line to the lobby. Very resonable mix up they sound similar ig plus the drive thru line ik sometimes are hard to hear. She asked whats wrong which i tell her heyy i order a cappuccino not a macchiato which she answered very rudely with an attitude no you did shaking her head! Which was first off super unprofessional and rude of her! I didn't come at her with an attitude or as mean or i wanted a problem i just wanted to get my drink and leave ! It giving very much everyone is wrong and shes is right very defensive it was never about her getting the drink wrong it was the type of disrespect and being rude with her response to me just saying i didnt order this .Sorry for anyone who...
