As I was saying, before I accidentally discarded my remarks, clientele is varied but uniformly pleasant, and found myself having a few laughs along with my nice beverages. Today was my second time here. First time was one very early Saturday following a visit to a nearby Smith's. (In my experience, also one of the best in town.)
The early morning occasion involved mostly neighborhood folk that seemed to be enjoying retirement and seeing each other.
So today, my visit was intended to be short. No IC (internet connection) at home, and after creating an Azure AD instance, and joining a new laptop to the domain and provisioning some cloud and having, accidentally, the really good sense that it was going to be windy, I left for home. I didn't get blown into a ditch, no trees fell on me, and I missed getting all the big rain drops.
I needed though to install Visual Studio Ent. Ediition, figuring that wight take two nice iced teas.
Duh! Not on that laptop. Not that Suite. So 7.5 hr later, about 10.3 GB downloaded, 475 packages installed and configured, I good evening to the staff provided me adult supervision for a long time.
Nice people work there. They were younger than usual and much funnier than usual and all of them were great looking. Considering how well they did their jobs and acted as if they were genuinely happy to have customers, I think this ranks right up there with my old fave, Diedrich's, on 9th and Corona in Denver, Colorado, which abuts a Smith's parking lot.
Well, not strictly. In Colorado, the Kroger brand is King Soopers. On 9th & Corona, it's Queen Soopers, and if you'd spent any time in Diedrich's you'd know why.
I hear that Dedrich's closed not so long after I left Denver for Las Vegas. It's not the stunning loss of my exilarating , nor economic privation that ensued.
Nope. The entire company went away. The whole company, brand, concern is gone. They predated Starbucks by a few beans; and in the end, ran...
Read moreLet's talk terrible service and the fact that the water district should come check this place out. My sister and I pulled up to order from the drive thru and as we are placing our order the sprinklers come on which should all be a drip system considering the landscape. But two lines are shooting in the air one is a waterfall engulfing the drive thru speaker where the interior of her car became drenched immediately. We needed 6 drinks and only placed the order for 3 of them when this started. We asked to pull up to complete the order as it was impossible to even have the window down a half inch with the amount of water coming into the car. We were told that is not an option. Needless to say we were baffled by this and it was impossible so we had a few options physically keep getting soaked, roll up the window and wait, or just pull up and let them see the state of the impossibility and see if we can finish the order at the window. Keep in mind there were no cars in the drive thru prior to our arrival nor behind us. We pull up, my sisters arm is soaked, the interior of the car is soaked and the guys says, you can't finish your order here so we told him to cancel it and we went to Aliante where oddly enough we did not get soaked. Fix your...
Read moreYesterday 12/18 around 7:15am I had placed a mobile order to pick up. I entered the store with my 5 year old, we grabbed our drinks and snacks and proceeded to the door when a man INSIDE the store opened it for us, I politely said thank you and after walking out the door I realized he was a homeless man. I have been to this location multiple times and I have seen homeless come in and out the store using the restroom or loitering and the employees don’t say anything. Well yesterday this homeless man followed myself and child to my vehicle and as I put my son in his car seat he asked why that man is standing there looking at us. He was maybe 6ft behind me mumbling words. I hurried into the car and he walk around to my passenger door and I locked my car multiple times so he would hear it. I got close to my window and was looking in. Then another car came up and the homeless man proceeded to walk behind my car and just stand there where I couldn’t back up. He finally moved but I now do not feel safe exiting my vehicle at this location. The homeless loiter outside in the mornings all the time whether is panhandling or what. As a mother with a small child I was scared and now a new core memory of fear has been placed upon my...
