I recently visited Yama Sushi & Korean BBQ Cheyenne Restaurant, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! First of all, the restaurant’s atmosphere was both stylish and cozy, making the entire dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The lighting and interior design gave off a luxurious yet warm vibe, making it a perfect place to visit with friends or family. The quality of the food was simply outstanding! The fresh sushi melted in my mouth, and the BBQ was incredibly juicy and flavorful. Every dish was carefully prepared, and the freshness of the ingredients truly stood out. One of the highlights was definitely the “Buy 2 & Get 1 Free” soju promotion! It was such a great deal, allowing us to enjoy an extra bottle while having a great time with friends. Pairing it with the delicious food made the experience even better. Overall, from the ambiance to the taste and service, everything exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely love to visit again! It’s the perfect place to spend quality time with loved ones, and I highly recommend it.

I stopped by here on a trip with my father as a last-minute decision and was thoroughly blown away by the place! Service was excellent, orders were quick, and the food was delicious! Servers were friendly and helped us find some good menu picks when we were a bit overwhelmed. I especially loved that we were able to pick a half-roll of sushi, it's extremely nice for trying out some rolls we haven't tried before. The food selection is massive: Sushi makes up half of the menu, with options for Hot-Pot, Barbecue, and more taking up the other half. Even if you're not crazy over sushi, there's many options that could fit your palette. The only real complaint that I can give is that the booth seating feels a little open. There were no barriers between booths, which made the experience feel slightly less comfortable. The price may be a bit of a deterrent for some, but I genuinely believe that the experience is worth far more than I paid for. I absolutely and thoroughly recommend this place!

Our waitress: a big girl with tattoos all over her arms began by trying to rush us into ordering our drinks. After order drinks we ordered our first round from the buffet menu. She disappeared for almost ten minutes. We started getting food put on our table. We couldn't tell what was what. Every roll looked like it had been recycled from the table before us. Meanwhile we have no utensils. I had to keep asking the bus boy and girl for things for our table. I felt like I should tip them since they were more available then the waitress. She seemed over worked and somehow that was our fault. The food taste bad. Miso soup was bland and almost cold. Cucumber lobster salad was soaked in a huge amount of salty sauce. And the rolls are tiny. The menu is a rip off. We asked for the manager (Jillian ) was overall helpful in making sure we didn't get charged for all the bad service and bad food. I will never recommend anyone going there.

We had a truly awful experience at this restaurant. We arrived at 8:00, told us that the waiting time is 30-45minutes. We we starving and just got off of work. So we just waited instead driving far, we waited in the car. They called us to come back 40 minutes after, and it took almost 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. We were finally served at around 8:50, and then the food didn’t arrive until 9:20. To make matters worse, at 9:30, the waiter asked us for our "last order." I was confused, since we had just gotten there. He asked if no one informed us about the timing, I told him we hadn’t been told anything. We placed our second order, and that didn’t come out until 20 minutes later. By then, we had to cancel our appetizers because they still hadn’t arrived. To top it off, when I spoke to the manager, she insisted they weren’t talking about us, even though it was clearly our waiter who had called her over. Terrible service all around – poor communication, long wait times, and a total lack of care from the staff. Definitely won’t be coming back.

I forgot to mentioned, a crew member kept turning off our grill WHILE we were still waiting for our...

went Saturday for lunch. had never been to Yama before so was curious how they compared.

Not busy at all around 1pm Saturday and was seated as soon as we entered. Only two different prices compared to a lot of other different AYCE places that have 3 options.

Went with option B and glad we did. The orders always came out quick and every person was very attentive. Maybe a little overly attentive at times though. Since it does multiple things, the selections for sushi aren't as grand as strictly AYCE sushi joints, but still a good selection.

Only thing that put me off a little is that the menu had a section on it that made sure you know that if you had leftovers, they would charge you for it. It read like warning labels on things. I know they need to say it, but something about how this place did it felt off-putting.

Didn't get to try everything but will probably go back with some friends in the near future.

Second is that they had a giant projector screen playing a stream or music videos but the music being played over the speakers wasn't from that? Why not just...

This was a sorely disappointing experience. We had to flag down a server about 10 times: we didn't have a regular server, or if we did, they never came back to our table. We had to keep bothering servers that were walking past us because no one stopped to check on us.

Some of the meat was still frozen and purple in the middle regardless of how long it was cooked. At one point we let it burn just to see if it cooked the middle - it didn't. The hot pot broth wasn't great - of course it's just a matter of taste, but no one at our table was a fan. It tasted really squash-y. There was squash in the broth and after it cooked for a few minutes that's all the broth tasted like. The ice water we were given was just a water bottle? I did really like the lemonade, though.

After we had paid the check (after flagging down a server to bring it to us and then again to pay it after sitting around for 15 minutes without anyone taking it) a server we hadn't seen brought us a carafe of ice water... as we were standing up to leave... (???)

Overall it was really...
