I've ate here over 80 times. Great steak and egg special....my wife told me her omelet was very good. Service is always good. Fish and chips are great.Prime rib special on Saturday is a nice meal...was seasoned and cooked perfectly. On 12/10/22 I had the Chicken fried steak and eggs numerous times...it's always a great size portion and was one of the best CFS breakfast I've ever had.The ribs I had were not that good....tasted like old bbq that had sitting around for hrs. The Chicken pot pie was tasty but when I broke through the crust I found a small serving and was disappointed.I was told the next morning, when I ate there again, it was a chef's mistake.Their homemade coleslaw is VERY GOOD. The Chicken Parmesan was a large serving but not that tasty...kinda bland..nothing to brag about. The Country Eggs Benedict is great and so tasty! The steak sandwich is great as well. I had the Village Pub chicken December 10th 2023...OMG...was so good I wrote the chef a Thank You note....just had the Village Pub Cod 1/20/2024 and it was good with rice pillaf and fresh mixed vegetables....I truly enjoy this place.1/29/24...Had the Reuben sandwich with home made coleslaw...nice sandwich and their home-made coleslaw is very good.On 9/15/24 had the smoked tri-tip monthly special...SO GOOD....too bad it's only a special for month of September. I keep going back to this...
Read moreThis used to be our ladies lunch go to place. Yesterday I went to breakfast instead. I knew they had raised prices by a couple of dollars per item because we were told it was happening about a month ago before the new updated menus could be printed. So I got two unwanted surprises... When I would go there for breakfast, I would get the pancake special and they allowed substituting of French toast at no upcharge. Yesterday the formerly $8.99 special was now $14.99! And now they also add $1 upcharge for French toast -- and that substitution fee is NOT shown on the menu so I can imagine it's a sore point when people get their bill if the server neglected to mention it and get their agreement up front. That increase on just this one thing is shocking considering eggs have come down so much and bread hasn't gone up. It's significantly more than $2 also -- a total $7 increase including the French toast upcharge have kind of sealed the deal that I'll be looking for another breakfast place. The food is good, the service is always top notch and they have a good sized menu. But at least for breakfast, the prices mean it likely won't be in the rotation for us. We'll check out the lunch prices before making any...
Read moreJust a heads up to other locals... free drinks during gambling is only based on what you put in. Don't win & expect to coast on your winnings. Apparently $20 in earns 1 beer. Cheaper to buy the beer unless if course you're a low life that comes in with $2 to put in the machine... that also earns you a free drink. Watched that happen a few times during this visit. Seems to be a huge double standard... if you have money, they'll take advantage, so expect a big bill at the end of the night without notice if you're having a good night $$ on the machine.. That was the clincher. So just a tip... when you win... cash out and feed it back in to "earn" your free drinks. Disappointment began earlier in the night when music was turned off & sound for hockey game turned on but it was so low that we had to ask multiple times for volume to be turned up during an important Las Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup Playoff game in order to actually hear the commentary of the game. Had been to this establishment previously, but won't be back based on our...
