So, my wife and I have eaten at Casa since we met in 07. We ate there the day we got back from our honeymoon in Mexico. Since living in maumelle, we have only eaten here. My children know "the yellow building" by heart. So, when you read this, you'll know..it's been a long time coming and it pains me. Today is my daughter's birthday and she wanted her "chicken broccoli and rice" for her special meal. We have grown to know some of the wait staff as well. As we watched the menu prices climb and service decline, this place kept on par with most restaurants that struggled through a pandemic. Now that business is back, the prices are here to stay. For the quality and quantity of food we still got, we had no complaints. Until now. The service has been steadily getting worse. We have sat for up to 20 minutes at times to get our order taken. I've waited over 10 minutes for drinks. Food still comes out fast. But, we have noticed what others have said. The seasoning was left on the shelf somewhere. The quantity is laughable, and this has been consistent. Unless you get draft beer, drinks are much weaker. Burnt and overcooked chips have become the norm. Salsa is an absolute hit or miss. Cheese dip is bland. So, as for tonight. The grande quesadilla use to be giant. Tonight, is was the size of a taco bell quesadilla. The food was cold. The taco salad my wife got had less that half the shell filled. But, to top it all off, they couldn't sing for my daughter. I was literally told "the main guy who sings isn't here". They wouldn't even sing for my daughter. I didn't want the dessert because we already had plans for that. But, my daughter was so sad she couldn't wear "the hat" and hear her bday song. That does it. How low have we got? All the way low. Senior or Pancho has our business from now on. 15 year customer,...
Read moreoh boy where do i start. my server was sick, she barely came over to see if we needed more water, chips, or salsa. my rice was old and under cooked, my chimichanga was soggy, the chips tasted burnt like they were cooking them in super old oil. everything was just super bland. right after eating I immediately got a stomach ache. we waited around 10 minutes after eating to finally get our bill. they werent even busy, there was a large family and 2 other people there not including me and my family. how do you charge people almost $12 for a soggy chimichanga and day old beans and rice. i dont normally leave reviews even if the food is subpar but this was just not a good experience. just go to senior tequila, i've been there dozens of times and they've been consistently good every time. only reason im giving 2 stars is because the food came out fairly quickly. probably because they just slapped food on a plate...
Read moreI give one star with hesitation. My husband and I went there tonight , and after waiting 10-15 minutes for a server , my husband asked a young man tending to the other table if he was our waiter and he said "no" but what do you want??? ok we can deal with that even though there was absolutely no one else in the restaurant...the one singular thing that set me over the edge was that the hostess (also known as front of the house) chose her time before seating people clipping her fingernails in a loud not excusing herself manor . Couldn't imagine eating any food after seeing that. If that's what happens at the front of the house , no telling what goes on in the kitchen . I can't recommend. This place to anyone I know .... very bad service , bad hygiene , and that's enough for us to never return.. sanitary conditions are too...
