The slogan McDonald's uses, "I'm lovin' it" should be, "I'm leavin' it"! It is an absolute travesty that one McDonald's facility can negatively impact all of them...but it has. We have gone to various McDonald's around the country for years, but no more. We will never go to another McDonald's again. In fact, I should thank the people at this particular location for introducing me to the Burger King down the street. I now know that Burger King has better food at a cheaper price. There is absolutely no comparison, especially when you consider the attitude of the employees. I could list a number of adjectives (all bad and some that might get me into trouble) to describe the demeanor of the McDonald's employees at this location. From Management on down, suffice it to say the idiom, "cop an attitude" says it all. Now for the details...almost without exception, every time we have been greeted with almost distain and have had to wait for long periods of time, from getting the order straight, to paying for the order, to finally getting the food. Rather than list the issues every time, I'll just address the last time (and final) time we ordered. To start, we were left waiting to pay at the drive-thru window, even though no one was in line and she clearly saw us. This was, of course, after she "messed up" the order and made her irritation evident. The result was a single when a double hamburger had been ordered, paid for, and was clearly reflected by the receipt. To address the situation, we actually parked the car and went in to speak to someone, and hopefully resolve the issue and find a satisfactory solution. Instead, we were greeted with deadpan stares and no intention to find a remedy. Finally, with our receipt in hand and a single hamburger with only a bite taken to prove it wasn't what we ordered, we had to tell them that we weren't going to leave until they fixed the problem. You'd think even a course in 101 management would be more than enough to rectify the problem, but that was not the case. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Lastly, let me again reiterate our sincere thankfulness to the staff for introducing us to Burger King and the opportunity to say to McDonald's everywhere..."I'm leaving it" for good! This portion is an edit of the original: I just wanted to reinforce the fact that this scathing review is my first for any restaurant, and please don't take reviews of this type lightly. In short, avoid this McDonald's...
Read moreI recently visited a McDonald's located next to a gas station, and I have to say, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The only reason I stopped here was out of sheer desperation due to extreme hunger.
The first thing that struck me was the exterior appearance. The building looked neglected, with visible dirt and grime accumulating on the walls and windows. The sign was clearly outdated, reminiscent of McDonald's branding from the 1990s, which gave the impression that this location hasn't seen updates or proper maintenance in decades.
The restaurant's proximity to the gas station didn't do it any favors either. Instead of the usual welcoming atmosphere you might expect from a fast-food chain, this McDonald's felt more like an afterthought tacked onto the side of a convenience store. I didn't venture inside, opting instead for the drive-thru, as the exterior conditions didn't inspire confidence in the interior cleanliness. The staff seemed disinterested and the service was perfunctory at best.
While McDonald's is known for consistency across its locations, this particular restaurant fell far short of the brand's usual standards. It's clear that this location is in desperate need of renovation, deep cleaning, and perhaps new management. Unless you find yourself in a situation of extreme hunger with absolutely no other options available, I would recommend avoiding this McDonald's. There are surely better dining options in the area, even if you have to drive a bit further. This experience serves as a reminder that not all locations of a chain restaurant are...
Read moreNot surprised with my experience after reading these other reviews. About a week ago I went to this location for breakfast, and was WAY OVERCHARGED. After calling the owner (who's number is noted on the drive through window), she explained to me that the employee didn't "substitute" my items out but rather charged me the "a la carte" way instead. She assured me that this problem was going to be fixed, wouldn't happen again, and did offer to refund me the difference. SO, WITH THAT SAID, I gave this place another shot today. SAME PROBLEM. when I told the employee how to ring it up (per the owner's instructions) he told me that's not how they have to do it, and told me that even if he rung up my order a second way that I would then owe him 10 cents more. I called the owner to tell her what was happening, and she text me saying she was on the other line but ... NEVER CALLED BACK. To top all of this off, I was in the drive through from 8:04am - 8:26am... 22 MINUTES IN A DRIVE THROUGH?! I finally get my food, and it's wrong. Now mind you, I only wanted bun and egg whites. No meat, no cheese. Nothing hard about my order, but apparently these employees can't get it right and the owner couldn't care less. Very disappointing. Would've rather they kept the old building and put all those funds towards...
