Tried the app out today. Generally, when you mobile order you do so with the intent of shortening the time on site at pickup. Instead, Popeye's on McCain (don't know if all of them do this, just know this one) doesn't even start your order til you arrive. Kind of defeats the purpose. The lines for drive through and inside were large, furthering the wait. They do have a mobile ordering pick up sign but they will attend to everyone in the line at register before speaking to you - so again, kinda defeats the purpose. The manager said they don't start the orders because frequently people never show up and the food is wasted. That's thrifty of them, except the app requires you to pay for the food before sending the order so even if that is true, the company isn't out any $$. Also, the orders show up on the register NOT printed out somewhere, and even after the girl deigned to look for mine, she couldn't find it. Took the manager (and another 10 minutes) to find it and then another 10 minutes to fill it. In total, not counting the time I spent downloading their app and ordering, I spent almost 40 minutes waiting for food I ordered more than 30 minutes before arriving. I was told that somewhere on the app it allows me to check in which will tell them I am on site so they start working on the order. They were exceptionally busy inside and out, their workers were all moving along at a good pace and plenty of orders were being filled, just not mine. I would have saved over 20 minutes if I had NOT pre-ordered/pre-paid for my food. Also, I don't know why but this particular location frequently forgets the apple pies...I've ordered here before (sans app) and on 4 out of 6 orders they forgot the desserts despite double checking and asking. If you are unlucky enough to drive off before discovering it, they will not give you one because "they don't know that you didn't do something with it or eat it already." The food here is generally better than the Kiehl Street location and the atmosphere is more professional than Kiehl but I'm not impressed with their use of the app or ability to prioritize first paid for from...
Read moreI guess it must be no secret by now that I love chicken tenders, nuggets, popcorn chicken, & chicken sandwiches! Popeyes' unique Louisiana flavorings added into the crust of the chicken, shrimp and fish really make for such an interesting taste! The Mardi Gras Mustard dipping sauce is just the right heat and accent to the food too. Normally I enjoy the 'sweet' sauce, but the Mardi Gras Mustard dipping sauce seems perfect for their thin, juicy, curling tenders! The biscuit that comes with the meal is a good, thick, Southern style taste that melts in your mouth. You can choose from a wider than usual category of sides for your single side veggie. All testify to the chain's Louisiana roots: red beans & rice, green beans (w/ ham), mashed potatoes & a tasty gravy, dirty rice, macaroni and cheese, jambalaya, slaw... not your usual fair of just fries! I had the green beans, which were in a thick broth and had small bits of ham diced throughout. They were tasty and Southern style. The chicken strips were juicy, crispy, well-done, thin strips of all white breast meat. The staff holler out greetings of "Welcome!" as each customer enters through the doors! Makes you feel like you are among good Southern folks, the kind that wave at you as you drive through town. They are cordial as you place your orders and seem to enjoy their jobs. This was the restaurant on E. McCain Blvd and I found it to be very clean in the dining room. No dirty tables. Floors were clean without waste on them. The beverage and condiments counter was kept in order. No spills, straw wrappers, etc. I am looking forward to my return visit. Maybe I'll even order the fish next time! Or a Tackle Box! Stop by! Tell 'em the Google lady's words and photos made you...
Read moreWe went to the popeye's in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Near McCain Mall across from walmart. The workers was very nice & friendly and Mistakes can happen with anyone. But when the young lady gave me my 💰money 💰 change back she shorted me💲20.00 dollars. My order came to💲17.31, I gave her 💲100.31 dollar 💵 bill. She was to give me back 💲83.00 dollars 💵 but she gave me💲63.00. I was watching 👀her as she took the money out she folded the 💰 money 💰 over with the recipe & quickly turn away from me. But being a careful person that I am & I use to work in the money business. I too quickly said No young lady as I counted the 💰 money 💰out.**Well she turned around and Immediate said Did I forget to give you💲20.00 💵dollars? Even before I could tell her. I responded with Yes Ma'am you did and she open the Cash register & gave me my 💲20.00 💵dollar. But she wouldn't look up at me like she did before I am only telling you'll this part because. Sometimes {NOT me} we don't count our money when we get it back from the workers. But once you leave it's not easy to get your 💲💰money 💰💲right back. So "PLEASE" count your money back no matter what the bill is Like I stated at the beginning I didn't get upset about it. Because we all make mistakes but it's just that she knew exactly what she did before I could actually tell her. I'm just saying Amen‼️‼️‼️. JUST COUNT YOUR 💰MONEY💰 BACK when the workers give it back to you while you are still before them, NO MATTER WHATS THE BILL YOU USE. 🥰OH & YES I WILL GO BACK again because the 🐔 chicken 🐔 is good 👍to me & my family 👪 there at that Popeyes😋. I am still an HAPPY...
