Went in to purchase a few items for kids for Christmas. The lady at the door greeted us and was extremely kind and explained what we were looking for we would need to get from an employee at the counter. We decided to walk around for a bit and get everything else needed before heading to the counter. My fiance walks up to the counter and James (an employee) is standing there. We ask him for the ps5 digital edition. He says "well I don't think we have any" doesn't bother looking, never asked anither employee just tells us "I don't think we have any, and I would know since I work here" with such an awful attitude. Then tells us he has 2 open boxed ps5, although that is not what we are even asking for, nor want considering we just watched him act like they were not any good by his facial expressions. My fiance tells him "the lady that greeted us said you have them and they are over here, in fact she told us we specifically had to get them from over here." James rolls his eyes as he says "well I work here so I would know" with a condecending attitude and hateful unfriendly tone in his voice. Unfortunately for James they did have them in stock so everything he just said to us was a lie. James then pulls two out of a box and they are the fortnite edition(he finally asked another associate at this point when he realized we werent taking his answer). I kindly tell James I'm sorry but no we just want the plain ps5 digital edition. Instead he decides to persuade us into the fortnite eddition. After we have explained to James we have no clue what a skin for fortnite is nor do we care. He rolls his eyes and makes us feel as if we are causing him an inconvenience just for even being there. We ended up just telling him "Fine we will take it" just to get this experience over with.OVERALL do NOT use this best buy. James went on to tell us "everybody knows what a fortnite skin is" because I had told James "we don't know what fortnite skins are and most people probably dont". James seriously sat there and argued with me by saying "uh yea they do most people know what a skin is so i dont know why u said everybody don't know thats a little much". I guess when I said "I'm sorry most ADULTS don't know nor care" James stopped arguing when I matched his same energy and made him sound as ignorant as he was acting. Not sure where his managers were this fine Sunday in December during the holiday season but in my 12 years of managing a high traffic telecommunications retail store, this is not how any of my team members would treat our customers. In fact since I consistently recommend this best buy location to multiple customers of ours, I will ensure that every customer I and my team help- know DO NOT USE this location. I would hate for James to speak to my mother or grandmother the way he spoke to us today, now my dad wouldnt have been so nice like we were today. James needs some training if he wants to work in customer service or even be able to maintaina job period. Or maybe James should just be promoted to a customer instead. He definitely just caused issues because I will ensure the 100+ people i speak with everyday- day in and day out- know about how terrible this experience was and that I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. James is the employee with the glasses, highlights and hair is up in a ponytail. You will know its him from his attitude trust me! Just don't use this location. Oh and FYI there is nothing they sale you can't purchase at another retail store for...
Read moreIn October 2021 I purchased a 1 year service agreement (approx 200 dollars) from Best Buy whereby they would perform maintenance and set up of all my electronic gear. The contract was purchased at the Gulfport, MS store, where I received exemplary service (and this was duly noted on the best buy evaluation site and personally to the store manager). After returning to Little Rock in November I had some work done at the Little Rock store with satisfactory results, although not superior , as in Gulfport. Because the North Little Rock store is now closest in proximity to my residence, I made an appointment there for set up of a new computer and printer.
My encounter with the geek squad member on duty was a disaster. Chase L's social skills are not currently commensurate for a job interacting with the general public. He never introduced himself, (only provided his first name and last initial after I threatened to go to the store manager), was inflexible and unsympathetic concerning their purported store policies (I later found out that the policy that Chase quoted is not written in stone), refused to go get the store manager when I requested he do so, never explained what he was doing with my computer (which he eventually gave up on), walked away from our interaction and addressed other customers' concerns during my appointment time, and spoke in such a hurried and staccato pattern that I found him hard to understand.
EVERYONE in this world has a place, where they can thrive and benefit others, while benefiting themselves.........Chase either needs some re-training, or a position at Best Buy where he doesn't interact with the public. Unfortunately , my advice is to AVOID the NLR geek squad at all costs.......on the chance that you may encounter Chase as I did.....
To end on a positive note......I spoke with the assistant manager on the way out, who was sympathetic to my plight, and made efforts to educate me in a helpful and polite fashion about how best to accomplish my needs when I return to the Little Rock store for further assistance. For her efforts I give 4 stars, but have to give Chase 1 star (0 stars if that were possible)......for an overall experience score of 2 stars....and that's being generous.
This ordeal cost me 75 minutes of my time in total, after paying for a service that was delivered incompetently and with a...
Read moreI recently visited my local Best Buy and had a positive experience overall. The store is conveniently located with plenty of parking, making it easily accessible. The layout of the store is well-organized, with clear signage directing customers to various departments, such as electronics, home appliances, and computer accessories.Best Buy offers a vast selection of products, ranging from the latest gadgets and electronics to household appliances and entertainment systems. I was particularly impressed with their selection of TVs and laptops. The availability of various brands and models made it easy to compare and choose the best option for my needs. The staff at Best Buy were knowledgeable and helpful. When I needed assistance with choosing a new smartphone, an associate patiently explained the differences between various models and helped me find one that suited my requirements and budget. Their expertise and willingness to assist made the shopping process smooth and enjoyable. The store also offers several services, such as the Geek Squad for tech support and installation services. I found these additional services to be a valuable resource, especially for those who may need help setting up their new devices or troubleshooting issues. The checkout process was efficient, with multiple lanes open and both self-checkout and cashier options available. However, during peak hours, the wait times at the checkout could be a bit long, suggesting a need for more cashiers to accommodate the rush. One area for improvement could be the inventory management. A few items I was interested in were out of stock, and it took some time for the staff to check availability at nearby locations or suggest alternatives. Additionally, while the store was generally clean and well-maintained, certain sections, like the gaming area, could benefit from more frequent organization and tidiness.Overall, my experience at Best Buy was very positive. The store offers a wide range of quality products, knowledgeable staff, and useful services, making it a reliable destination for electronics and appliances. With minor improvements in inventory management and aisle maintenance, it could provide an even better...
