Family Cuisine — Restaurant in North Miami Beach

I’ve been going to this place since college. I found out about it because my good friend at the time used to get her laundry done next door at Maytag. Today however was the worst experience I’ve had with them to date. I called the restaurant on or around 5 PM to order dinner for pick up. I told the young lady my order and she confirmed it. It took me about an hour to get there due to traffic. I assumed my food would be ready just cold which I would’ve been fine with I just didn’t want to wait. I get there and not only is my food not ready a pregnant young lady behind the counter told me that she was taking orders today and she didn’t take my order. I proceeded to show her my call log and that I indeed placed an order at 5:11 PM. The pregnant girl gave me horrible service the entire time. They finally found my order (that the pregnant girls insisted I never placed) and they made my shrimp fried instead of grilled as I asked for on the phone. Long story short I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes in the restaurant for my food. Throughout the whole experience there was one gem, another waitress (light skinned with braids) she did everything to try to calm me down and correct my order. She even double checked it before I left which was God’s grace cause the shrimp was still fried! Although I have been coming here for years the food quality has not improved but the service has deteriorated over the years. They just don’t care. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t empathize and they make you wait even if you call ahead. They won’t give you any concessions and if the pregnant girl is there she will give you attitude the whole time. Worst place ever , customer service wrong , yesterday i called to place an order at 6.59pm the guy who answer the phone told me to come right now so i gave them time to get my food ready i came 1 hour later cause i know who im dealing with , when i walked in they got the nerve to tell me the food not ready ready it took them more than one hour , the guy who was at the register he said oh his giving me a refund hell i took my refund till now im talking the moneh still havent get to ny account , no wonder why certain people dont want to support haitian restaurant , their customer service skills soo trashy , rude and unprofessional but i will call my bank to dispute it !!!!! Never will i put i foot at this trashy place again !

The guy who claim his the owner call my phone yesterday trying to start an argument with me like dude im not going back and forth with you about your unprofessional businesss and my money ! The first night when the refund happen you guys said i will received my refund the next business day and the comment on the review said 3-5 businesss day at this point keep the money ! Im done ! If you are in the area . Shoot even if you're far, as long as you're free to stop at this well oriented hidden gem I ENCOURAGE you to do so . I've been eating here for 1 year from day one was highly satisfied HEADS UP if you do go , Please don't rush your food , I'd rather wait however long for good food than to wait long for food that won't satisfy me . Besides you're waiting for a reason . Everyone who's ever tried it loved it so the place is always busy . You won't be disappointed. !!ALL Staff are very nice patient and kind . My favorite staff workers are Mrs.Marie and Ms.Nesha they are always working hard and super kind and patient . Ms. Marie was going to give me a refund for a mistake that happened with the order I could not and did not accept it the food and customer service I receive has always been enough . Thank you family cuisine for being true to your name . Btw I eat everything off the menu , Yet this day I purchased a pork chop comple Thabk you Mrs. Marie and Nesha , Now a days it's really hard to find good food and customer service.
