UPDATE After receiving a sincere email apology from both Avi and Marco I also received a $250 gift card in the mail today. As the apology for the issue was made in sincerity and of course the gift card doesn't hurt it has restored my faith and trust in good feelings toward Fuego, I did feel bad originally as the food gets more than a 10 and the service at the tables are superb, I will be back, Thanks again for making a mistake right, Kudos to all
Back in Sept 22, I visited Fuego with my daughter, while awaiting our table we sat at the bar. I ordered a 15-year single malt my daughter white wine. the bartender let me know that they were out of 15 but had 18, I agreed, he then said out of 18 we have 12, I again agreed. When our table was ready, I cleared the bar tab amount with tip $60, I thought it was high however it’s a high scale restaurant and didn't pay attention to the receipt description, the meal was excellent. when I returned from vacation and went over all receipts, I noticed the bar bill invoiced Glen Livet 18 and not 12 @ $38 a shot versus $15. I tried calling a few times never got through only voice mails left messages with no return call, I returned last night with my receipts my wife and 2 other couples for dinner. I asked for the manager to explain the wrong pricing from the earlier bar experience and he took my receipts, came back 3 times to get the explanation which was given all 3 times very clearly and he then disappeared for the next 90 minutes while we enjoyed our meal. Once we were given the receipt for the meal and paid ($750) w/ tip, he returned and said that he had to do a report and check the video from 6 months earlier in order to resolve???????????? Over a $23 difference a report and check the video, you MUST BE KIDDING ME. don't think most CCTV goes back 6 months but for $23? Good customer service when between the 2 visits over $1000 in meals the right thing to do would be for the manager to bring a round of drinks on the house or at the minimum credit the $23 against the current bill. Edit(after response from "owner" on here) - your response was so incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. When I had called to ask to place a pickup order over the phone (my own fault for not having seen on here that it did indeed say that takeout or delivery was not an option) I was very nicely told it was not an option and I kindly said thank you. I have every right to give a heads-up for anyone who might've made the same mistake as I did. The proper, professional, and humble response would have been to point out that it is mentioned that takeout/delivery is not available and to say thank you for the feedback, and that you hope this does not influence our decision about coming to experience your restaurant in person one day soon. Having said anything close to those lines may have led me to re-read my initial review and maybe up the stars given or delete altogether. Most people read the negative reviews first and there is no reason that my review, specifically only about takeout, would've swayed negatively anyone interested in dining at your restaurant. I think it speaks volumes about you as an establishment if you found your response appropriate. I'll just let your response speak for itself and let people make up their own minds about whether or not they would be interested in coming to your restaurant.
