We were at this restaurant to celebrate New Year’s. Prior to making reservations they told us that it’s going to be $500 a person everything included ( service fee and taxes unlimited alcohol and food and new year show with fireworks). At the time when my friend was making the reservation he was told to do it as soon as possible, because they will run out of space. Sounds expansive, but we were assured that we will be treated as VIPs and our party of 6 went for it. The management suggested we come in for 8pm. Sounded a little early so we showed up around 8:30-8:45. First obstacle we endured was the valet service. They just bluntly said: we had no more room. There’s no street parking around the restaurant at all and no stopping signs along the street. I had to go into the restaurant, get the owner and the owner after good 15 minutes argument got the valet to park my car. We finally went into the restaurant and were greeted by owner wife who said just have a drink and you’ll be good. In today’s world it is highly unprofessional and borderline harassment. The appetizer spread was along the bar and other than little sandwich with lox and hard boiled eggs there were nothing that could be considered VIP. We expected for the kind of money they were charging us , at least red caviar and something better. As we walked into the restaurant main room we saw people just having casual dinner and not dressed for the occasion. The wife of the owner said: don’t worry, they will be leaving soon and more Russians will come and we will have our Russian party. We went to our table which was already served with types of food that are called appetizers in any other Greek restaurant. So in a scope of 3 hours between 9 and 12 the only thing that were brought to our table was octopus. About entertainment. The DJ leaves a lot to be desired. He has absolutely no feel for whom he’s playing the music for and probably repeated his playlist 3 or more times over the course of the night. Belly dancer was extremely low quality and felt like she’s doing it for the first time. The “so called show” were two young ladies that were dressed in extremely cheap looking outfits and were dancing in the middle of the restaurant, but we couldn’t call it “show”. So finally came time to ring in the New Year. We all were invited to go outside and were told that champagne will be served and fireworks will be shown. This was probably the only good thing we experienced, fireworks. BUT!!!. Prosecco is not Champagne. After midnight it took another 40 minutes to bring main course to the table. This food was at best mediocre and lukewarm. Now it came time for me to pay. One of the waiters came to me and was trying to charge me $1250 for two people, when we were told by the owner $500 all inclusive. Obviously I went to the owner and he had to argue with waiters for a good half an hour until I finally got charged $1000. After all that we waited another half an hour, mind you it is 1:30 in the morning, to get dessert and coffee. That was it . I’m sorry, maybe I expected too much, but New Year’s Eve is very important for me, my family and my friends. So now we went to ever favorite valet to retrieve our cars. It only took 35 minutes to get into the car and leave. What I’d like to add, this restaurant is far from first class restaurant, it’s extremely far from a good Greek restaurant. The owners are Russian and the staff is mostly Colombian, so don’t expect Greek hospitality and authentic Greek food. By the way, about restaurant running out of space, through out the night they were maybe at 50-60% capacity and around midnight it went down to 25-30%. It wasn’t celebration atmosphere it wasn’t VIP, it was disappointing. I certainly feel that we were taken advantage of in hopes that we would have a good celebration, but it wasn’t the case. Next year we’ll be doing deeper and better research. Useless to say we’ll never set foot in that restaurant and for people that are thinking of going there,...
Read moreYesterday we visited for the first time . We opted for the lamb skewers, which unfortunately arrived overcooked, rendering them impractical to remove from the skewers while chewing them was a challenge. To complement our meal, we ordered a pitcher of sangria and a selection of appetizers. The sangria delivery was notably delayed, taking approximately 20 minutes. Despite the restaurant inside seating being empty of customers at 9:30 pm, the outdoor area remained relatively busy. Furthermore, the servers have a lack of proper training, as evidenced by their failure to refill glasses of water during the check-in process, which should have been a routine task for their positions. The food presentation was inconsistent, with the lamb skewers, grilled octopus, grilled halloumi, pita bread, and dip sampler being delivered ALL at once - no strategy of orders delivery (servers should have asked of preferences but definitely not drop it all plate on plate) . The dip sampler, which should have been served first, was ok and very simple on a big wood plate . When we requested straws for our drinks, both requests were met with apologies and promises to return them, but no straws were ever provided. The overall dining experience was unsatisfactory. The menu pricing was excessive, particularly for the grilled octopus, which was priced at $32 for a mere four small pieces. In comparison, comparable meals at other restaurants in the area, such as Balharbour, or downtown offer octopus for a more reasonable price of $25-$27, with larger portions available. In conclusion, while the establishment may be acceptable for a single visit, I would not go therefor a second or first. The overpriced food, subpar service, and inconsistent dining experience make it a less than ideal choice for dining out. Location is good water view but what can you see much at night. Driving there is no direct turn if you come from west side. Need to go bridges and under bridges. For the price we paid Chaihana oasis beats the menu and its...
Read moreI came in for my last day in miami with my wife and toddler . The Food was good cant complain. Service was trash. We had a good waiter , but all the food came out at once. The dip sampler the seabass the salad the tacos. Literally EVERYTHING first second and third at once. We came to the restaurant at 9:50 they said you have ten minutes to order the kitchen closing we said sure and we ordered then they said you have to also order desert in advancewhen we were told we can order dessert at the end ( sure whatever no biggie) . At 10:45 they said come up to us and said the kitchen is rushing us to get you out you we have to bring out your dessert , mind you we were still eating the food we had an entire order of seabass on deck that at this point was cold. I asked for the manager (which turned out to be the host) he said yeah you got to go we want to leave. I said dude there are still three tables eating its not just us and the restaurant says closes at 11. I said thats not how you threat customers if we in the restaurant and seated on time you accommodate us and allow us to finish eating peacefully. The host did not care said the managers are not at the establishment but they would not care either and we have to leave then turned around and walked away. Obviously we never going back. This place is not customer friendly honestly good food but terrible staff. Our actual waiter was nice and apologized. Basically with three tables still eating they said kitchen wants to leave you gotta go. Mind you the dessert was ice cream that melts in miami heat within 5 minutes. Oh and THE MOST EXPENSIVE meal of out trip and we went to all the hot spot restaurants. This is not worth the money even if it was the best of service and for rhe service we got they should have paid us to stay. Not kid friendly literally...
