Leaving this review on my girls acc: Went early this morning around 3-4am it was a group of about 5 of us HAITIAN BLACK men. Atmosphere was very terrible. The place was very stank but we were hungry and looking forward to a meal. Clearly I should’ve listened and left after this first red flag but chose to stay. We told the Haitian lady who was by herself at the front that we wanted to dine in and she told us that if we wanted to dine in, we would have to order first, pay, and then we can sit and eat. This was VERY weird for us but we assumed that maybe because she was by herself that was the rule so we kindly agreed. Placed our orders one by one and as each person ordered, food was coming out. 2 people got their food while the rest hadn’t got the chance to order yet. Very annoying especially when “dining in” should not be like this experience. The first person to order recieved VERY small pancakes while the others received the regular portion. The lady in the front was not attentive to the food and was not bringing everything out when it was ready. We had to continuously let her know our food was ready even though we were the only ones there. So many issues with our food but the lady did not care. As we were leaving, we noticed a couple walk in maybe Hispanic/white but DEFINITELY not black like us come in and tell the lady they wanted to dine in and she gladly told them to sit anywhere they would like and she would be at their table to take their order. Unlike us, they were not racially profiled and got to enjoy their dine in experience. It’s such a shame because we tipped her and caused no issues even though she automatically assumed we would. I already disliked this location due to the terrible service but it has been solidified to me that I would never walk into this racist...
Read moreAll that's left are memories of enjoying great meals with family and friends at "our spot." This used to be one of the best locations to enjoy a delicious any-time-of-the-day breakfast. My bff and I chose this location, as it had always proven to have the friendliest wait staff, shortest wait time, and the tastiest food. Although I noticed on previous visits that the quality had waned, I decided to give it one more chance based on my bff's suggestion. Sidenote: We have all but gone off of every traditional eatery due to zombie-like greetings and service from employees to the ridiculous wait times and lackluster meals. Don't even get me started about the new Waffle House on 441 (UGH! Which is another reason we ended up at IHOP). Well, we ordered a basic breakfast, which included french toast, which partly resembled Hawaiian rolls and crepes, covered with a while sauce and a strawberry compote (I think), which made them soggy and inedible. Although I made a valiant effort to consume them, my bff left them untouched, exactly where the waitress left them. Needless to say, this will be my (our) last visit to this location {sigh}. This used to be such a wonderful restaurant. As with most things nowadays, I'm finding myself longing for the days when companies' bottom line was customer satisfaction. I pray that this IHOP location realizes that dwindling customers is a direct result of deteriorating meal quality and then does what's necessary to restore customer confidence and uphold the expected quality of the International House of Pancakes. That's...
Read moreThey deserve ZERO. I'm actually back looking for my review of this place from June 2020, which has been removed. I seldom write reviews, it just really isn't my thing. But the treatment I got and the utter lack of care or concern for serving made me write a review that day.
I was dining alone that morning. It began with waiting 10-12 minutes after I sat for the server to come by with the menu and offering me coffee and OJ. The coffee came 10 minutes later, but not the OJ, and he took my order. I ordered a standard combo, and requested fruits on the pancakes, well done eggs and crispy bacon - a VERY EASY order.
I watched as the waiter buzzed around me a few times without a look as I tried to remind him of my OJ, and half-and-half (I only got milk) - that took another 5 minutes. I also asked about my food - he told me it should be coming out. I patiently waited and finished 2 cups of coffee. Meanwhile 3 tables who sat down after me were already served their meals. 2 tables of 4 and one of 2.
I asked him again for my meal. I watched as he walked over to the counter and ordered it (presumably) again.
It finally gets to me 10 minutes later. The pancakes look fine, but the eggs were wet and I pick up a piece of bacon and show the waiter. "I asked for well done eggs and crispy bacon... this is rubber! I sat her for close to 40 minutes waiting for a simple order and this what I get? YOU EAT IT!"
Got up and left, and wrote my first review in the parking lot.
Boycott this...
