Perhaps if I had ordered only at their brie appetizer, dessert and not gone to the bathroom my review would be higher. Their downtempo EDM, and terrace to glam up a North Miami strip mall parking lot was a nice layout.
A friend and I came here because it was close to her place. However, our experience left enough to be desired to be a buzzkill.
Their menu is all over the place, from sushi to burgers and salads. A regular burger makes my belly happy, and I ordered their "Not so Classic Burger" dish as my main. My friend is a little more analytical, and took her time.
As mentioned, the brie was pretty creamy and the breaded panko crust was an original presentation. I loved the orange jam and berries, as well as the crispy baguette pieces. This and the chocolate mousse (also with fruit and not overwhelmingly sweet) were the two dishes we did finish.
The hand cut fries were decent as well, not overly salty or greasy, and went well with their smokey bbq sauce and ketchup. I limited how much I ate since I am trying to be a touch healthier.
As far as the burger, I'll say it was a huge portion of meat and juicy enough. They did make it medium well as requested. However, while their menu described a chimichurri aioli it looked and tasted just like basic mayo. I didn't notice the sharpness I normally associate with this seasoning. I actually left a decent amount of burger untouched!
They charge an 18% automatic gratuity, and they proved my theory again. They brought the to go boxes out and my friend had to pack her own for the tuna. I believe the only reason they packed the one of the fries is they may have overheard us complain. Also, as she noted, they closed earlier than the posted time. It seemed they were trying to rush us out. I've eaten at other restaurants (THAT DON'T CHARGE AUTOMATIC TIP) where my group has lingered without being rushed. This of course earns much more than the minimum this place charged. (Yes, I'm old school in that tips should be earned and not automatic. )
Then there's the issue of the toilet. I'm far from a prude, I enjoyed Beavis and Butthead in my 20s and make fart jokes but this was disgusting. They need to clean their toilet seats. Granted it was the end of the day, but there is no excuse for a toilet...
Read moreWent to Lettuce and Tomato for dinner recently. Okay decor. Nothing special. We were a party of 4. Ordered the Bao Buns. For those of you who don't know what a Bao is its Chinese For Bun. So its redundant to call it a BAO BUN. You may as well call it a BUN BUN. Thats not the restaurants fault its just ignorance on the part of restaurants everywhere that know nothing about Chinese culture or food. When our server arrived at the table she asked us if we wanted a drink. So we asked for Local Eau De North Miami.....meaning tap water. She was pissed that we didn't run up our bill for her tip. My buddy and I ordered Beer and our ladies stuck to the NMB Water. On to the Meal. We also ordered the Burgers which were Okay....for $5.99....NOT FOR $20. The main issue we had was when we asked the server for Bread she had the audacity to tell us that we didn't order enough food to "qualify" for Bread. At least for "Free Bread" which everyone else seemed to get because we asked them. Considering that we ordered beers that didn't seem to add enough to our Bill for this Server who seemed ticked about what we ordered to give us the free bread. Its not about getting bread, its the principle of customer service which this individual didn't have. Unless of course this was the Restaurants policy. Or it could simply have been the fact that we were the only people there not speaking Spanish. Anyway, if you like Lettuce and Tomato go to the Supermarket and buy it. You definitely don't want to go to...

Despite the heat, we opted for the cozy indoor seating, though the covered patio looked inviting too.
The meal was unforgettable! I indulged in the succulent 16 hour short ribs with rich, savory gravy, served atop a mound of homemade mashed potatoes that was served in cast iron skillet—simply divine.
The mushroom quinoa also served in a small cast iron skillet was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavors in my mouth of a creamy mushroom and truffle, and the fresh Burrata Mozzarella salad with tomatoes, greens and beets was incredibly soft and refreshing and fresh.
My friend enjoyed the crispy skin salmon and carrot puree so much that he didn’t share a single bite!
Portions were generous and perfect for sharing. Even with the crowded and lively atmosphere, the attentive wait staff ensured our experience was top-notch, even bringing an ice bucket for our white wine.
Though we had no room for dessert, I’m eager to return and sample more of their enticing menu, including the chocolate mousse and bread pudding.
Plus, I took home half of my quinoa and short ribs to savor later.
This spot is definitely...
