My first time trying "Little Saigon" my order was: Special Beef Pho Soup [#33] TO-GO & a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I emphasize to go so you're aware I didn't necessarily get to experience dining-in.
FOOD: I tried their Pho soup because I had heard from others that Saigon makes delicious Pho, rumored as one of the better establishments in South Florida. From my experience, the food was delicious. Keep in mind, this is AFTER I heated it up in the microwave the following day. It's soup, so reheating it couldn't make TOO much of a difference in taste/quality, but I'm sure it's significantly tastier freshly served. The ingredients were well-served, I got all the standard Pho accessories, though I did ask for extra lime on the side.
What pleasantly surprised me a little was the quantity of noodles! Usually, I complain that plenty of Pho restaurants over-serve on broth and don't provide enough noodles to accompany, but Saigon hit a nice balance.
So long story short, "Little Saigon" delivers good, nice, quality Pho! Not the BEST I've tried, but I will say it's one of the top 5 Pho places I've tried so far in Florida.
DRINKS: By the way, I did order a 'Viatnamese Iced Coffee' as well... and it was terrible. So if you're looking for Viet iced coffee, I wouldn't recommend trying it there. I wish I tried the Boba Tea, so maybe next time.
SERVICE: The staff was attentive and helpful. Like many small businesses in South Florida, the staff doesn't speak completely fluent English so asking questions there may result in difficult answers. They definitely can communicate, just takes a patient conversation. Also, they had confirmed that iced coffee would be like a traditional Viet iced coffee, but it wasn't even close.
OVERALL: I would go back there! The Pho is quality and their other food items look appetizing. I'd like to try their Boba next time as well.

Read moreI've never had such a bad experience at any restaurant ever. Firstly, the google hours of operations is wrong. Either that or they changed it and didn't tell anyone. Evidently they close at 8pm on Saturdays now. Thinking it was open later we arrived around 8pm. They seated us without saying anything about the closing time. After a very long time of waiting to order the lady came over and asked us to order. As I'm ordering she looked like she wasn't paying attention nor acknowledging anything I was saying. I paused thinking she wanted to say something then she snapped at me "you order!" Then as I started to ask a question she ran away without saying a word as I was in mid sentence. I've worked in restaurants for years as well as my family having owned 2. I know people have bad days so I tried to be patient. Well, as I waited for her to return I can hear her speaking to other customers. She was the sweetest person and was joking with them. When she finally returned to us she told us they close at 8 and we need to hurry. Well we didn't want to inconvenience them and said we could leave. At this point she became nicer and said it's ok and we can order. Well the voice inside told me to cut my losses and just leave because who knows what the service and food would be like. We ended up just ordering 2 appetizers and ran out of there. As I'm driving away I thought to myself. If you're going to close and people walk in you need to tell them you're closing and if they want to get a carryout or come back later. You don't seat them and snap at them and ignore them if you decide to seat them. Obviously this restaurant doesn't care about every customer since it seems they have a good regular customer base. So if you're thinking of trying this place for the first time I caution you to confirm closing time and arrive well before. Or else be prepared for a...
Read moreThe food is good the service is very bad, the worse is they intentionally hike up the price on your order. On January 21 the waitress asked for an extra dollar after we gave her the cash saying she needed more for a tip. Today 23 of January I ordered item #13 from the menu pork fried rice at 5.95 , I am unemployed, I watch what I spend. When the bill came she charged me 9.10 for item 13 pork fried rice that is 5.95. She said no what I ordered was different. I said I pointed at your menu I said I want item 13. She keeps arguing with me. I had given her a 10.00 bill she cursed me out in her language brought a receipt of 9.10 said she kept 90 cents as a tip. I again advised her my order was 5.95 where is my correct bill. I am now escalating this. I am not going back they lost me and my friends as customers. By the way after she brought the pork fried rice I had drank all the water she never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything only after she came for the bill she offered water that I refused thinking she would do something to the water I was so thirsty. You are warned take it or leave it that is what happened I will not go back except to speak to a manager before I...
